I'd be considered snobby to have shopped here. I like my caviar, my prosciutto, my European fruit preserves, my bratwurst. I like to make a pizza naan with marmite and blue cheese for breakfast. In short, this was my snack store. Quality-wise, it's 6/10 in my book. I've decided to stop shopping at this location because I don't perceive the staff is friendly or helpful. If you shop only once or twice here, you might be impressed. But if you spent nearly a thousand dollars for a span of two months at this local shop, you'd expect they like you more every time you come and visit. Not in my case. A blond-haired gent really got on my nerves when he twice dismissed what I said. The first time, Hawaiian macadamia chocolate, whose original price was $12.99, was 35% off. That means it'd be $8 after reduction. The guy rang me to $12.99. I told him it had to be on sale; he insisted that it was $12.99 after reduction. Why wouldn't he go to the back and check for himself? I decided not to argue further and not take it. The next day I went in and talked to some senior helper and she confirmed the $8 price. I still wouldn't want it. The second time, a brand of flatbreads was going on sale. The thing is, different flavors had different original prices; I spotted some $2.09, $2.49, $2.99. Different flavors also had different sale prices, 20%, 55%. I brought up two different flavors, only one of which was one sale, and wanted to get the cheaper one. Neither of this had its original price tag. I intended to ask for the original price for each. He rang me up and right away he lectured me: "It doesn't matter the original price, because only one is 55% off and the other is 100%." I tried to tell him I observed that different flavors had different original prices, but he dismissed me again. I had enough and asked him to just run the original price for each so I can decide. If X is 55% off and Y is 100%, can you tell if 0.45X

The manager said she couldn't return it because it was used. I was confused because I had not used it. I said to her "What?!" Tags are attached. I did not use it. She said it looked washed. Then said I could have removed the tags, washed the pillow, then attached the Tags again. I couldn't believe what I was hearing! I asked her if she was crazy. For 1 who has time and energy to do something like that? Second..I'm a regular in this store. I have spent money, how dare that woman! I sat her straight, before asking to speak with someone else. Someone came over and told her they could tell the pillow was NOT washed. The manager never apologized but the worker did. I was humiliated. I contacted customer service after I left.. Over the years the store has changed. Rude workers/managers minus one lady with short brownish hair. NOT the one with glasses that woman is rude....I'm talking about the one without glasses. She is always nice whenever I stop in...but she is the only one. The other employees ignore you, don't speak, nor ask if you need help. Some months ago a man put a bunch of things in his shirt and casually walked out of the store. He literally walked right past the worker, she said nothing. Me and another customer brought it to her attention . She didn't seem to care
OLD REVIEW: Love this place. Friendly workers. Clean. Unique cool items...even though...
ย ย ย Read moreI was humiliated when I visited a few years ago. I have a medical condition that made it difficult to wear a mask. I just wanted to run in look a 1 product. I was approached by a sales clerk with a mask on. She asked me to put on a mask, I shared with her that I had a medical condition that prevented me from wearing one. I even shared, that I had a medical note from my doctor. She then step closer to me now within a foot and started yelling at me. I step back and told her I would practice social distancing and only wanted to look at one item. She continued to yell at me and continued to step closer to me. She told me if I had not left she would call the police. It felt as if people were staring at me and I was humiliated. I left that store walk to the store next-door. I asked the clerk if I had to wear a mask and about my medical condition. She said no as long as I practice social distancing. I have yet to return to that store. I did call corporate and they told me the woman acted inappropriately. Even though time has passed, I still find it very difficult to walk into the doors...
