Most disappointing Applebee’s experience ever!! This particular location has gone way downhill. The first hostess passed us by to grab a high chair without saying a word and left us standing at the podium. The second hostess greeted us with a “She got the others, how about you?” Not a hello, welcome, or how many in your party. Then they proceeded to seat us at a dirty table with someone else’s bill on the table and food crumbs all over the seats and tabletop (not to mention the 2 foot hole in the seat on one side of the table). Nobody came back for a long time so I sought out someone and I kindly whispered to the bartender that they had accidentally placed us at a dirty table, could she please do something. She kindly moved us. The food was not the usual fresh, yummy looking, high quality we usually get at Applebees. It looked “tired” and unappealing and was not good. There was food and ice cubes and garbage littered all over the floor throughout the entire restaurant and I am not exaggerating!! During our visit, we witnessed a small child in a high-chair drop a spoon of marshmallow fluff. A waitress picked up the spoon, put it back on the table next to the child, left the food smeared all over the floor and walked away. Absolutely disgusting!!! We spoke with the mother of the child who took the spoon away and cleaned the floor herself and she wrote a note on her bill that said “if you want a better tip, don’t put dirty silverware back on a table”. I have no idea what happened to this restaurant but it appears as if staff has just thrown their hands up in the air, turned a blind eye and no longer cares about it. Their give a damn is busted and...

If you're in Lapeer, MI and thinking of heading out for a bite, do yourself a favor and get a table at Applebee’s—especially if you’re lucky enough to have Jordyn as your server!
From the moment we were seated, Jordyn brought nothing but positive energy and a welcoming vibe that instantly made us feel at home. She’s a young woman in her mid-20s with the kind of drive and work ethic you rarely see anymore—she chooses to work because she likes being productive and staying busy, not sitting around feeling down. And trust me, that mindset shines through in the way she carries herself and serves her tables.
Jordyn has a phenomenal personality—bubbly, respectful, attentive, and full of kindness. She's one of those rare servers where you never once have to wave her down or ask for anything twice. Your drink never gets below half full, your food arrives just right, and she checks in without being overbearing. She reads the table's vibe perfectly and makes every customer feel like they matter.
Our meal was delicious, but honestly, it was Jordyn's service that made the night. She goes above and beyond without even trying. You can tell she takes pride in doing her job well, and that pride shows in every detail—from the smile she wears to how smoothly everything flows.
Applebee’s, if you’re reading this: Jordyn is a gem. Whatever you’re doing to keep her around, keep doing it. She represents your brand with excellence.
If you want great food with even better service, ask for Jordyn. She’s a shining example of what customer service should look like, and we can’t wait to come back and sit in her...
Read moreSaturday we had gone there for a date nigh after a long day of work. We get there. We have a 5 minute wait before we are taken to our booth. Awesome! Then we are greeted by our server and we basically order our food because we know what we want. I had ordered a bourbon Street steak cooked medium and my significant other had ordered a quesadilla burger. Our appetizer came out was really good and then our food came out. This is where things started going downhill and its nothing against our server because I know she has nothing to do with how the food is cooked, but I didn't get a steak knife with my steak so she had to go back into the kitchen and go get one and then walked away before I could even cut in my steak, she didn't even stay at the table and ask me to cut into my steak, I've always had a server ask me to cut into my steak before they walk away. It was WAY overdone, I mean there was no pink in it We had to get another server to go find our server which wasn't the right server that she brought to us, so then we had to wait a little bit longer for the correct server to come and by then my significant other was done with his food and I was just ready to go. She had offered us free dessert, but like I said at this point I had been sitting there 30 minutes with a steak on a plate that I couldn't eat. I was just over it. I never once saw a manager walking around and I always do at Applebee's. It wasn't a very busy night either. We got there at 6:40 and there were booths and tables open.
We were sitting in a both along the front of the restaurant with view of the bar and...
