Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen — Restaurant in Laredo

My husband took me twice in our anniversary different years 2016 & 2017 horrible experience the first time my food looked like it was spit on and it had a couple of hairs SMH I didn't eat the manager went to apologize he was a nice person but that's it second time we went we got our order I notice a small hair on the rice next to the chicken "I check my food before I eat it everywhere I go" I told my husband his like just don't eat that section "gaging not hungry anymore" I pick my the chicken and theirs several hairs under it I'm not saying 3 or 4 I mean like a whole bunch I was angry at my husband because of my previous experience wasn't pleasant and I didn't want to go their anymore for our anniversary idk who's the chef or waiters who took my food I was never rude or disrespectful to any of them at all but I guess they had something against me because my husbands food was ok those 2 times he took me there. I will never step foot in this restaurant ever again. They removed the reviews on Facebook so I couldn't add my experiences there.... I shared this comments in my Facebook Instagram and Twitter snapchat and other accounts I have so even though I couldn't leave the review on their page alot of my friends family and their friends...

MyI've only been here three times, but every single thing I've tried is amazing.

I think I got burgers all three times, but I got different sides and appetizers, and I tried whatever my girlfriend had as well.

The only thing that comes to mind by name is the Montecristo.

That's a deep fried grilled cheese or something.

It's fattening, yes, but delicious.

Now, that's worth making your cheat meal.

Update: I’ve now been here almost 10 times lol

I’ve tried almost everything on the menu, and this time I even tried the Moscow Mule; very nice; not too strong; full of flavor.

My wife loves the honey hot sauce with her chicken tenders. It’s very spicy for me, but the flavor is very sweet and smoky at the same time. Not quite a barbecue though. This is different. This is very nice.

The last new thing I tried today… the Chicken Pot Pie. I ordered it with the Loaded Baked Potatoe and a side of rice. Of course, it was way too much food, so we got a To Go box, but let me tell about this Pot Pie. It did not make it. I devoured it, and it is now my favorite thing on the menu. I took some of the melted cheese from the Chips con Queso and drizzled it on top of my rice and on top of the Pie crust. Man… it was something...

I arrived 5:45 pm. First thing I noticed was halloween decor in the main entrance. Was seated immediately. Restaurant's ambiance is alright. Social distancing is in effect. I ordered the 8oz top sirloin, medium rare with green beans and loaded mashed potatoes. My fiance ordered country fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. The food got to our table rather quickly only to find my steak raw as soon as I cut into the corner of it, and my fiance's country steak had the rancid taste of reused oil. We sent both plates back and instead of ordering the same thing, my fiance ordered the monte cristo. I gave my complaint about the steak. The second order of plates took about 5-7 minutes which is exceptional wait time. To my surprise the second order of steak was perfectly cooked on one side and raw on the other. It was over seasoned with salt and had minimum amount of pepper. I did not finish my steak and gave up on the cooking of this restaurant. My fiance's monte cristo was less rancid and was taken to go. Overall 2/5 stars. Service was alright, but the food was astoundingly sad to taste...
