Delicatesse — Restaurant in Laredo

Food was 5 star! Service...not so much. No one greets you at the door so you're not sure whether to wait to be seated or if to sit anywhere you like? I watched several other patrons experience the same confusion. I stood there awkwardly until my waitress finally acknowledged me and acted as if she had no idea why I was there. Also annoying is my waitress spoke absolutely no english. When I explained that I only speak "poquito espanol" she seemed annoyed. The atmosphere is great! The jazz playing was great! The place is super clean! The tea I had was amazing! The panini was great, although it coulda had a little more meat on it for $8. The soup was off the hook! I dont know what it was due to the language barrier but it was spectacular! However, once my food was brought out, it was like I didnt exist. She never asked me how my food was, if I needed anything else, nothing. Not knowing if she was gonna bring me the check or if I was supposed to pay at the register...I again awkwardly loitered around the entrance until my waitress came to the register. went in for my first time in a long time, the last time i went it was with the previous owner. i bought a combo of a panini, chips, soup, and a drink, it costed around $14. they didnt even give me the chips that were supposed to come with. i called about it and the lady over the phone said that next time i go in theyll give me the chips. like if im ever gonna go back again?? didnt offer anything else. very disappointed and i dont think ill give this place another chance. way too pricey and they dont even wanna give you the complete meal? nah. i preferred the old...

Worse restaurant in my life! The place is all musty, smells like they used dirty mop water to clean the place. There is a guy on the side filling up the bollons loud as hell, I can’t even hear my own family talk. Then the lady forgot 3/4 of our orders. We I mentioned this to her she just replied with “ah” turned away and walked off. Not even a “sorry” “it will be right out” how can she even forget all the order this place is...
