There was two associates in the store when I went in to buy a game. One of them was at the register the other was just sitting in the corner of the store where the nintendo switch games are. I was in line when the associate at the register told me she was on the phone with a guest. Which is understandable but you would think people who go in person have priority over phone in guests. I decided to look around the store while she was on the phone. Meanwhile the second associate was still sitting in the corner of the room. While I was looking around another customer came and took my place in line. After looking at THE WHOLE STORE I came back to the line & now another person was being helped before me. The associate at the register was now helping someone over the phone and in person. This is when I heard her say "hes on break". I spent around 30-35 minutes waiting to buy ONE game possibly even longer until a third associate came in. The second associate was still sitting in the corner when I left. Personally if I saw my coworker struggling to check out guests, or saw guests waiting more than 15 min to check out Id lend out a hand not just sit in the corner and watch everything happen. Id help out and then recover my break time when the store is empty. Cant wait for gamestop to implement self checkout. Otherwise, let me know if youre hiring, customer...
Read moreBEWARE!! There's this GameStop employee named Jose (ID 234614, tall, clean-cut hair, very short beard, stocky, middle aged man with salt-pepper hair) who kept trying to add warranty to my purchase for "free".
I kept saying no at least four times but Jose insisted after every denial to add it because it was "free". He didn't explain why it would be "free" and even started becoming frustrated.
I've never heard of free warranty at GameStop. To my knowledge, employees can redeem your points for a voucher ($1, $5, etc.) which they can then use towards the warranty. It leads me to believe he wanted to meet his quota at my expense and without telling me the process. I understand it's part of the job, but this is not the way to do it.
Aside from that, every time I've interacted with him, he's never friendly or welcoming which makes me not even go there anymore. Other employees typically welcome and thank but this guy rarely does.
Just wanted to give a heads up to other customers to be careful and make sure employees don't try to add stuff without your knowledge. All other employees have been great, but this experience soured...
Read moreVery horrible customer service, went to go look for a ps4 controller for a gift for a friend and it seems like they don’t have any so went to go ask a question, I only saw 2 employees, one was helping the customers and the other was doing something else. There was a big line and I just needed to ask a question so I went to the guy who was doing something else. I didn’t ask him anything yet but the guy saw I was gonna ask him something and told me “the line is over there” I told him “oh no I just needed to ask a question” and he still told me to get in line with an attitude. So apparently we had to be in line to ask one simple yes or no question. Once when I was up, I asked if they have the controller and told me they had been sold out since Black Friday. And also told him do they still do digital buy for MW3 on GameStop. Told me no they only sale it in disk. So I decided to buy the disk instead. Once when the guy was about to ask me for my ID, the other employee who had an attitude told him “make sure he has an ID” I’m not sure who was their names are but it was a very unprofessional on dealing...
