I had an unfortunate experience at Country Pizza Inn in Largo that I feel compelled to share. My visit last night left a lot to be desired, and I think it's important to highlight some of the issues I encountered.
Upon entering, the hostess instructed us to find our own table. We complied and chose a table towards the back. After about 15 minutes, the server finally came over, and her attitude was immediately noticeable. Despite this, we placed our food order. However, right away, there was an incident when my wife mentioned that the meal included bread. The server responded rather rudely, stating that bread only comes with a salad, which was part of our plan anyway.
As our meal progressed, the server's attitude continued to deteriorate. She brought out the bread and salad, placed them on our table, and quickly left without a word. A few minutes later, she returned with our wings, once again exhibiting an unpleasant demeanor. When we asked her to simply set the wings on the table, her response was far from accommodating.
The situation only worsened when our pizza arrived. The server started clearing the table without even inquiring if we were finished with our salad or wings. She even became upset when I wanted to keep the last piece of bread from being discarded. When my wife made a request for parmesan cheese the server responded with unnecessary sarcasm, blaming us for seating ourselves even though it was at the hostess's direction.
Once we were done eating, I requested a pizza box to take home the remaining slices. However, the server returned with a small styrofoam container, which was clearly inadequate. When I explained that I wanted a proper box to avoid squishing the slices, she seemed annoyed and started slicing and rearranging the pizza in a manner I hadn't asked for. She had done exactly what I had asked her not to do, stacking them on top of one another. Her attitude during this interaction was outrageous .she then walked over opened the container and said is that good enough .I said no I'd like a box
To make matters worse, when I questioned why I couldn't have a small pizza box, she retorted that everything in the restaurant is expensive. Even after requesting to speak with the manager, I was met with resistance. The server claimed the manager was too busy, and she continued to be disrespectful. The bill, totaling $58.00 for a small salad, eight wings, and a large pizza, was disappointing in itself.
The final straw was the reaction to my adjusted tip due to her attitude and behavior. I left only a small tip, and her response was both unprofessional and unacceptable. She began yelling and cursing at us to leave, which created a disruptive and uncomfortable atmosphere for other diners. I normally leave 25% Tip Min
Considering my previous dining experiences, this encounter was completely uncalled for .I paid 24.00 for a pizza and cant have a box.I can get a large pizza other places and pay 8-10 dollars and they all come with a box .I've never felt the need to leave a negative review before, nor have I encountered such poor service. The refusal to provide a proper pizza box, along with the server's attitude and subsequent outburst, truly left a lasting negative impression. I cannot recommend Country Pizza Inn in Largo, and I intend to explore other options like Hungry Howie's or Domino's for my future...
Read moreSomething here has dramatically changed here in the past few months. I used to always look forward to coming here, was always top notch service and food quality. Recently I have noticed food quality in the past few months has changed, roughly around April '23 the garlic bread that I loved became inedible for my tastes so I stopped ordering it and kept ordering a pizza even though it has become a lot more greasy than before. It still isn't a horrible pizza but not great considering all the choices in the Clearwater/Largo area. But the service..... OMG, I was there last night Apr 12th and I have never seen such horrible service in my 65 years. The waitress was Brittney, she's pleasant, outgoing and unfortunately that's where it ends. It was like everything she touched turned to disaster. Ordered iced tea, soda, mozz sticks and pizza. Pretty simple order and I'm sure pretty typical. A different waitress brought the drinks and said that she couldn't find Brittney. Brittney comes back from wherever she was and takes the rest of the order. Cheese sticks come out, no problem there. Waited quite a while for pizza. Eventually she brings a pizza out, puts pizza on a table and the people had already ate and were actually getting ready to leave, so then she takes pizza from table #1 after people breathing over it and sticks it on our table where we stare at it, breathe over it and raise our hands saying this isn't our pizza either so she takes it from our table and finally delivers to the proper table. Half hour later our pizza finally comes so I'm pretty certain she never put the order in when she put the appetizer in. Everytime she took payment from someone it was a ten minute ordeal, she spent more time staring at monitor figuring out what to do than servicing customers. So we pretty much covered that she's incapable. So maybe this is her first night? Nope, heard her tell someone she's been there for four months. So I understand, she's not very good at what she does but needs a job. Here's where it really stops with me. Everything she did, and like I said everything she touched turned into disaster she pointed the finger at someone else, it was always someone else's fault. Nevermind that it's your name on that check, that it's your name that's collecting that tip and it's your name that's responsible. Seeing and hearing that made me understand why her coworkers were doing nothing to help her or to bail her out. Unfortunately the customer...
Read moreOnly giving this place 2 stars because of the many previous visits, I have had an okay experience. Tonight, however, was the worst experience and I have made the decision to never return to this restaurant, or even continue to have my coworkers patronize them. Ordered my usual eggplant parm and the service was awful. The eggplant came out burnt. I had to send it back. After waiting another 1/2 hour, the waitress returned with my newly fried eggplant parm. She proceeds to tell me, "next time order it lightly fried." Excuse me? I have ordered this dish countless times and have never had to specify how you should cook it. I noticed that she had my same utensils and now cold spaghetti from the previous plate. I just shook my head and started to eat my "lightly fried" eggplant. I couldn't even eat it. It was tough and barely warm. I went to the register so I could pay and leave. When they asked how was my experience, I told them the truth, that it was bad and I usually have a good experience ordering the same thing EVERYTIME! She (the cashier/owner/manager) ask me did I eat any of the eggplant parm. Of course not! She has the waitress go get the plate and she looks at it to make sure i didn't eat the food.. as if I was only complaining because I wanted a "free" meal. The waitress then whispers..."she ate the salad" well, of course I ate the salad. It was good and it comes out before the meal. They charged me for the salad and the cashier/manager/ owner says, well, maybe our cooks are having a bad night. That's not what your customers want to hear after they chose you for dinner when they could have been anywhere else. No apology or anything just a...
