Nick the Greek — Restaurant in Larkspur

The food is pretty good, I enjoyed the new steak bowl although the meat was overcooked. The service leaves a lot to be desired. The restaurant messed up our order on several occasions (dressing on the salad when we asked for it on the side, got cucumbers when we requested that they be omitted, French fries instead of rice) which is very annoying when we've driven all the way home to discover the error. When my husband called the store after they gave me cold, soggy French fries instead of the rice he asked for (clearly printed on the receipt), the woman who answered the phone was incredibly rude and hung up on my husband. I ended up driving back to the store to resolve this. Clerk refunded the order, remade it and charged me 1/2 price for the remade order. She offered no apology for the errors. They included rice this time but still put the dressing on the salad. This particular employee is nasty and defensive, the kitchen staff doesn't pay attention to the order sheets. You just...

I recently had the pleasure of trying the falafel at Nick the Greek, and it was nothing short of amazing! From the first bite, I was blown away by the perfect blend of spices and the crispy texture on the outside, while remaining soft and flavorful inside. The freshness of the ingredients really stood out, making it clear that they prioritize quality.

The falafel was served with a delicious tahini sauce that complemented the dish beautifully, adding a creamy richness that elevated the entire experience. I also appreciated the generous portion size—definitely a great value for the price!

Really happy at the new location closer to us in southern Marin. Food was great as we’ve come to expect from the chain.

Only issue is workers wearing gloves… we watched an employee wearing black gloves go into each bathroom (assuming to check for cleanliness) and then exit the bathrooms and clean up the condiments with same gloves. They then went back behind the counter and started handling food orders again, without changing gloves.

Not sure why gloves are considered more sanitary, but definitely need some additional training on hygiene and when to replace them as there shouldn’t be cross contamination concerns with...
