Wow, just… wow. My experience has been nothing short of exceptional! For those who don’t care to read one, I can summarize by saying Stephen has earned a customer and friend for life.

I’ve worked with my fare share of jewelers, and no one is quite like Stephen. Do you need an engagement ring, a custom pendant, or something of the rarer variety sourced? Stephen is your man. He is kind, attentive, incredibly communicate, and honest. That last one can be harder to come by in any kind of luxury industry (speaking from my own experience). I connected with him over some maintenance for a few of my gold pieces, and our conversation had a lasting impression on me.

Months later, I reached out on a whim to see if he could source a very rare piece that I had struck out on from every dealer in the Bay Area. I kid you not, Stephen called me later that day having found one in MINT CONDITION. He was incredibly kind and honest on the cost, and had it shipped so I could look at it without paying sight unseen. He kept me in loop and assuaged my concerns the entire way through. He even went as far as to mention that if for any reason I decided I did not want to buy that piece, there were no worries as he’d buy it for the shop since I was so unique (talk about taking the pressure off).

I have been a long time customer of Johann Paul Jewelry. As much as I was happy for them to be able to retire I was a bit nervous about any future repairs and purchases. As luck would have it I needed a repair shortly after the re-opening with the new owners. I needed a pair of Pink Sapphire post earrings converted into a closed white gold fitting. Johann and his team are masters at their art. I brought in two rings. My mission was to switch-out two center stones and place them in two different settings. One was a round diamond, the other was a square emerald - both exquisite stones that needed great care. Johann and his team meticulously measured every stone in the two settings and delivered the most dazzling results. Both rings look much more elegant than they did when I brought them in.
