Well, last week I gave it a 4-star review stating if they could balance music with the trainer's constant talking, it would be 5 stars. When I joined this summer, I loved zoning out, working out hard to great music. I mentioned that I can't hear the music over the trainer's constant talking a few times to the friendly front desk staff, but they could only suggest going in the evenings. As a small business owner who prides myself on being customer-focused, what stunned me next is that the owner/manager called me, not to have a productive discussion, but to tell me how wrong I am. If I have a personal issue with his trainer, I should find a new gym. He said she has 99.99% satisfaction rating and they aren't making any changes - I'm basically completely wrong. I asked how he determined her high satisfaction rating, and he said it was because her class is always full (this is due to it being the best time slot for working moms.) I didn't want to continue to engage with this hostile dialogue, so I said I'm done and hung up. He proceeded to harass ME by calling back 4-5 times and sending texts - I blocked his number. Then he started with the emails, which I said to please stop, there's nothing more to discuss. To my astonishment, when I went to talk to the front desk about my membership and if there are other time slots, they said, "oh Marc already cancelled your membership for you." Seriously!!! He doesn't have his contact information public so I thought I provided constructive feedback the only way I could reach him. The bummer is I loved the classes before this instructor took over and I lost over 10 pounds, but I would never support a business where the owner has 99.99% bad...
Read moreI have been working out in gyms my entire life and, hands down, Orangetheory Fitness is the best all-around workout (and environment) I have experienced. Coach-guided but self-paced (for example, you can run, power walk or bike during “treadmill” time), with personalized attention from coaches for options if particular movements don’t work for your body. I’ve been at OTF since 2017 moving between a couple of different home gyms based on my work location and visiting other OTF gyms while traveling and, hands down, OTF Greenbrae is the best I’ve been to. The staff, coaches and owner are amazing people — positive, supportive and genuine — and the gym itself is spacious, well-appointed (we just got new treadmills!) and immaculate. It feels like everyone in the OTF Greenbrae community truly enjoys being there, contributing to a very friendly and welcoming vibe whether you’re a member, visitor from another gym or first-timer. What really works for me is that at OTF Greenbrae, you can be as social as you’d like or just quietly show up to do your workouts, the staff seems to intuit your preference on any given day....
Read moreI have been a member of Orangetheory Fitness in Greenbrae California for about eight years and I cannot say enough amazing things about the entire staff, the community and the workouts. I am lazy by nature yet always motivated to go there because I know how much better I will feel once I get to studio, feel the positive and kind energy off the other members and staff then complete the workout. Even when I am “not feeling it,” the coaching staff will help me modify the workout so that I do my best for that particular day, not to mention how members cheer each other on. Orangetheory Greenbrae is comprised of people who have never worked out through people who are extremely athletic. The best part about this is Orangetheory Greenbrae is not a competitive place as you only compete with yourself. I realize this may sound too good to be true but it is not. Orangetheory Greenbrae is a very unique place. I have worked out at many studios across the country and, while they are good, it does not compare to home. You should absolutely try this studio. I promise you will not regret...
