So fresh and delicious. Ross was super attentive, inviting, and professional. Was able to customize a bowl with amazing options. Ross knew everything that was vegan and was super helpful and kind. Being vegan can be "annoying" at times when I want to eat out,mainly because I feel difficult asking if the sauces have dairy and all that, and it's always way more uncomfortable when people have to go ask someone else, or read the ingredients off the labels. Ross greeted us as soon as I walked in. Explained the process with a smile on his face the whole time, and again was super knowledgeable and kind. No attitude about any questions, with a positive upbeat demeanor. As a long time server, I know how this can make or break an experience and he definitely made it a positive experience. Not sure why such big hype. Yes it's semi healthy, at first I was thrilled too. But then I was served precooked but cold asparagus, broccoli, gross but also no nutritional value left cooking n then sitting open like that. At $16 for a bowl the portion of chicken, sweet potato, and rice was minimal compared to the heaping bowl of cold spinach. Too me just not worth the price. Anyway it's just a chain of cold food. Perhaps jm most disturbed because as I asked for suggestions I clarified I did not want a salad, on the cool day I wanted a Harty meal. Ordered two items that normally come with rice, but they were out of rice. Asked for a substitute, but the guy says he's not charging me for rice, so I can't get a substitute. I said of course you are, it's part of the items' base price (which it definitely is!). Jerk still refused. At the Berkeley location, if there's ever a base item missing, I always get a free substitute. This place needs to train/educate their staff! Plus why are the bowls here smaller by 1/3 from all their other locations? I visit four others regularly and they are all the same as far as portion size. Not this one for...
