Dion's Pizza — Restaurant in Las Cruces

Originally placed an order for delivery online. Dions contracts with Doordash to deliver. Doordash never delivered our order and 40 minutes after the food was ready I call Dions to see if it had been picked up. They informed me it had not been and had been waiting for almost 40 minutes. They have all my contact info and could have reached out. Anyways at this point I spoke to a manager on the Friday 9/17/21 night shift. He informed us they would remake it but we must pick it up. Any refunds we would have to deal with Doordash (I paid a delivery fee and tip). So we accepted and drove over immediately to get our food. Upon arriving home our food was clearly not remade from the previous order being pretty cold and clearly at least 2 hours old. At this point we were just hungry and tired and ate the food. I then spent three hours dealing with Doordash to be given the run around that all refunds had to be processed through the restaurant. I called back this morning Saturday 9/18/21 and spoke to the assistant manager on duty. My, what a breath of fresh air. This gentleman turned our whole experience around with his sympathy and kind words. He helped us out, offered to remake our food again (we were fine because we already ate), and retained a customer. As a previous restaurant manager, I have to give all the kudos in the world to this person and encourage the owner to have other employees model after his work ethic. Delicious veriety of fresh salads with meats or egg. They have the best salads for carb and protien conscious individuals in all sizes from a single to a large party. The pizzas are awesome here but they don't have cheese stuffed crust. They also make subs sandwiches and fresh fruit cups. Order at counter and you will be called to pick up order. No wait staff. No alcohol served hear but they have the usual fontain drinks. They have cookis and brownies for those of us with sweet teeth 🤗. Lighting in the dinning room is bright during the day because of the many big windows and in the evening the center of the large dinning room is more lit with dimmer lighting near the windows for a cozier affect. It gets busy at peak meal time but you will never wait longer than 5-10 minutes for salads and subs or 15- 20 min for pizza. Clean and modern. Large and small seating areas. Prices are not bad especially for the size and quality of food. You wont be disappointed here. They don't deliver but have a carry out drive through window. I've never met anyone yet whom does'nt like this place. You wont regret...

We stopped at Dion's looking for a pizza place that wasn't your everyday pizza joint which you can find just anywhere. We were looking for something that was decently priced, could feed more than a few, had a variety of optional choices, and was quick as we were just passing thru. With the help of maps and with much surprise Dion's was a Great Choice. Not only did it meet all that we were looking for as mentioned, it wasn't far from the freeway, the customer service was wonderful, the establishment was clean and presented itself with an above expectation standard. I would and will recommend this place to anyone. The quality of the pizza was excellent. I repeatedly stated while eating how good there pizza actually was. Not to mention how it made me wish i could try the many salads, sides and sandwiches that were offered which I bet are amazing as well. I wish we had a Dion's in my neck of the woods.
