Last Friday, I did a mobile app order (like I usually do) for 3 sandwiches and a friend was to pick up the order. When we opened the "sealed" bag, it only had 2 sandwiches! The missing one was my sisters, who was visiting from out of town and never had Jersey Mikes. How embarrassing to tell her that our local JM location forgot her sandwich.I spent the next 10 mins on the line with a Manager, requesting a refund. Before the refund, they wanted me to drive back to the restaurant to pick up the missing sandwich. I told them no because we have a limited time for lunch. They then asked if they could remake the missing sandwich (fresh) and have someone from the store bring it to us. I decline also, as that would take up the same amount of time, if not more, if we were to make the 2nd unnecessary trip. Ultimately, the Manager called the Owner and got the approval from them to issue me a refund. I was told to expect it back on my card within 2-3 days. Unsure of if she meant days or business days. I called today, a week later, to follow up on my refund as I had not seen it hit my bank account, and I spoke with Manager Tara, and she informed me that it usually takes 3-5 days! I told her the manager from Friday told me 2-3 and she said I was misinformed. Ok. She then suggested that I made the trip back to the restaurant and they can put the refund, that I should've gotten already, on the card. I don't understand why if a restaurant messes up by not having anyone make sure the order going out is correct, becomes the customers responsibility to get their refund by making an unnecessary trip to restaurant. I tipped them $2 (last week) as a thank you for job well done. Boy, did I make a big, "Open Mouth, Insert Foot" mistake with them that day. In this day in age, shouldn't refunds be done electronically? Gone are the days were we deal with physical cash. I would understand then, going back to he restaurant and getting my cash refund.
Oh! I ended up sharing the other half of my sandwich with my sister as she did not have a sandwich to enjoy. I don't think I'll go back willing or order from them again, for awhile, having been...
Read moreI love Jersey Mike's. Sadly this will be my last visit to this location. My order was missing my sandwich and I asked how long it would be for them to have it ready. The cashier told me it would only be about 10 minutes. After all their orders were out I asked again how long it would be. I was told it would take 5 minutes. So I decided to just ask for my money back. I was surprised to hear from one of the cooks... "WHY?" So I just informed him that I had asked twice already how long it would be and there still wasn't anything on the grill. To which I got the excuse.. well sir we had alot of orders and there were alot of tickets across the board. I understand that. I know because I was there. When I got there there were 3 customers in front of me. Then the front lobby filled up. I told one of the employees that I didn't want to make a big deal and that apologized for asking for a refund only for my sandwich that wasn't made yet. Then I was told... well.. it only takes about 5 minutes to make. So why am I waiting? Even after I asked the first time for my sandwich there was no urgency to start on it. The cashier didn't know how to do a refund so she called for a manager. The manager never apologized just verified that I wanted a refund. I said yes. Then the first cashier told one of the workers.. don't make that #44. To which he said.. I'm not. I already threw it in the trash. The only thing on the grill was some onions. Nothing ever went in the trash. I have been a customer of this food chain for many years. We lived in las vegas Nevada and would frequent it alot. At least once a week as that's what my wife craved during her pregnancy. I'll still patronize other locations but for me, this location is out. I, in no way, want anything in return. Meaning that I am not looking to get anything for free or anything discounted. This isn't the first time I've had this happen as they didn't make this sandwich. Maybe the #44 is something t n at they don't like making. Who knows. Just thought I'd get this off my chest as I was hungry and was really looking forward to having...
Read moreI've had Jersey Mikes before and always remember it being a positive experience, but after my experience today, I can safely say I won't be going back. I downloaded the app and ordered a regular number 8 (turkey, ham, bacon, and provolone). I customized the sandwich to my liking and placed the order as I was pulling up to the store. The app told me it'd be 30 minutes for my order to be ready. Me and my 2 year old walked into the store because it said I could only pick up in store as opposed to the drive thru window. We went inside, waited about 5 minutes in line, and I told the woman that I had placed an order and she told me that my order wasn't ready, but they just started working on it. I politely asked if they had a small cup for water for my daughter and she hesitantly gave me one. We waited patiently for 30 minutes for my sandwich, and when I asked about 20 minutes in if my sub was ready, the woman rudely replied, "Not yet but it is almost done." So we waited another 10 minutes before I received my order. You'd think with over a dozen employees behind the counter, customers would be served faster but with over half of them literally standing there I guess that the wait time made sense. I finally got home and opened my sandwich, and I was shocked at the subpar sub I paid almost 13 dollars for. Every bit of the 7 inch sub was soggy with oil and vinegar to where I had to wipe my hands with each bite. I don't know if they were rationing the turkey, ham, and provolone, but there was hardly any on the sandwich, and they didn't put bacon on it even though I paid for it. The sandwich was hot as if it had been toasted, there were more ingredients on the paper than in the sandwich and it wasn't enjoyable. A sub above? More like...
