WELL, THEY'RE REALLY TEACHING ME A LESSON NOW!
Several weeks back I visited the Lohman Ave location in Las Cruces, a franchise store. I'm a frequent customer and appreciate the discounts offered on the app. When handed my order of large fries, I found a handful of ketchup packetsinnthe bag. This was the third time at least that I'd been given ketchup even though I'd been told they only put ketchup in when requested. So I pulled the packets out and asked the young man to take them back. "Oh no, we can't do that now that you have touched them." he said with a look of disbelief that I'd even suggested such a thing. (I later learned that this was due to COVID protocol and yet the workers don't wear masks or gloves to protect us against them passing along COVID!)
So I said, you're taking them back alright, and threw them through the open window. Two or three team members were close by and all started laughing including the young man I was later described as "attacking" by my actions.
Fast forward over a month (during which I continued to frequent this location) and I entered the store versus going through the drive thru. When I got to the register the app said I'd already used a "deal" that day which wasn't true. I said to the cashier that the app was wrong and showed her the deal I was trying to get. She asked if I'd used that deal "in the last 3 to 5 days" to which I said yes. She then tried to convince me that the deal was one-time only. (Why she asked me specifically about using in the last 3-5 days I have no clue). I showed her the app where it clearly shows "1x/day." She insisted she was right so I asked for a manager. When the unamed lady came out (none of the managers wear name tags...I guess the franchisee is too cheap to pay for them) she hollered "You're banned from this store, get out!" I asked, if that is why my app isn't working and she said yes. I pulled out my camera and asked if she'd like to say that again. She then ran towards the back yelling for me to stop recording or she would call the police.
Now, "banned" is not really what is happening. Not only does my app work just fine (so the manager lied) but they're more than willing to continue taking my money through the drive thru, which, ironically is where I supposedly behaved in such an aggressive way.
The truth is this store's operation is all over the place depending on whose managing. They don't like it when I point out when the store is trashed or the bathrooms stink. They love me when I tell about what they're doing well. And that is something I go out of my way to do, going so far as to call Corporate to commend the outstanding service provided by Eileen, a regular morning worker I interacted with dozens of times when I was homeless and living in my car last year.
So, threat to the workers? A hindrance to store operations? I think not but you decide for yourself and if you agree with me, tell the franchisee by spending your fast food monies...
Read moreI ordered on the McDonald’s app to pick up inside, I checked in as I normally would at any other McDonald’s, my card was charged and when I went in to pick up my order the girl at the counter didn’t know anything about anything. She said there wasn’t a code up on their screen even though I was showing her on my phone so she could verify... anyway, the manager was called, he did see the code, obviously, he apologized for the inconvenience and said he was remaking my entire order because some time had passed since it had already been made AKA when I checked in. NOT HAPPY WITH THIS PLACE WHATSOEVER. I was late to where I was going because some girl didn’t know what she was doing, people should be taught how this works if their going to offer those kind of services if not then just don’t offer. I waited in there arguing with her; or really her arguing with me, nasty attitude she had; for longer than 5 minutes. Then another 5 to make my order again. This is not okay. Plus to make matters worse, when I went just the other day with my niece she couldn’t eat her happy meal in the play place because all of the tables were dirty, even though the place wasn’t even half full. And when she went in to play she came right back out so fast, she said it was hot, so I went in with her and it was legitimately suffocating in there. They should fix the air conditioning or at least leave the door open to have some flow of air. She was very disappointed she couldn’t play. But I took her to the other McDonald’s on Main Street after she finished eating and she had a blast. Get your stuff together...
Read moreThis place is the absolute worst place to go if you feel like McDonald’s. I’ve had such horrible experiences with the employees at this particular location and management is no better. They don’t give you your order correctly. You always have to make sure the fries are filled up otherwise they’ll just put a few in there and honestly I have no idea why they tore down the old one and built this one because the employees in there don’t care they need to find another job, or get an attitude adjustment because they act like it’s your fault that the order is messed up. I went in there the other day at 6:02 AM and the lady said to me was can you please hold? It’s not 6 AM yet. There are two places to order when you drive up and I took the first one a black Nissan rogue took the second one. She helped the Nissan first which was no problem but then the Nissan drove off got his food and I’m still sitting there as if she doesn’t notice me or recognize that I pulled up so I politely asked is anyone there and she rudely told me to hold on that we’re short staffed. I don’t know about anyone else, but I didn’t say anything at that moment. I waited another two almost 3 minutes and said, is anyone there hello she came back as I need to be more patient. Hey McDonald’s if you’re reading this that was absolutely uncalled, for. I don’t know what her problem is with me, that was just rude. Where’s the customer service you proclaim to have in your commercials this was management...
