I went with my son yesterday to get him a Playstation Network card which they were out of and the employee who's name is Emily told me I can get a manual code for a $20 dollar Playstation Network card, so I did cause that's what my son wanted. Well we came home tried many times to enter the code it kept saying invalid code / wrong code. I waited a little while to try the code again and it said the same thing after awhile it popped up saying the code was already used, I was thinking well maybe the money went on to his account, nope wasn't there. I had to wait til today to call I wanted to try and get a new code they won't even try and help out. When I called the girl who I purchased this from yesterday answer the phone which again her name is Emily wasn't even trying to help out she was very rude and hung up on me. I will not be returning to The Gamestop on Walton. You guys need to get people who wanna help out their customers, now my son who spent his Christmas money to get that lost out on it, I'm super disappointed on the way your employee Emily handled the situation. When I spoke to the manager he wasn't no help neither was rude also, no wonder the employees are the way they are there, they follow the leader When you have people like that working for your company it makes your look really bad. Like I said this will be the last...
Read moreMy bf & I went into gamestop on February 23rd to purchase some ps4 video games, the ones we wanted weren't in store so the guy(I'm not sure of his name) said he could order them for us from el paso & it would take about 3 days to get here so we agreed when I checked the tracking on my package 2 days later it said it was in Phoenix, AZ & a few days after that in Seattle, WA so instead of my package getting closer to me it was going further away. I called gamestop to see what was going on unfortunately I was told it's out of their control and nothing they can do. Then today when my package was supposed to get delivered the tracking info said it was being returned to sender 🙄. There's been multiple delays and nearly 2 weeks of waiting so once again I call gamestop and ask for a full refund & was told there's nothing they can do since the games aren't in possession of either of us. Long story short customerservice sucks no help whatsoever even sent an email & still haven't heard back. In the future I will be shopping online at stores such as dkoldies where I know I'm going to get my product & if I have an issue I will get it answered and...
Read moreI ended up with a couple of game controllers after I helped a friend clean out an attic storage space. I don't know anything about gaming. I didn't know what the controllers went to or what (if anything) they were worth. Someone suggested I could maybe sell them at GameStop, so I stopped in.
The young woman working was very professional and calmly handled everything that came her way. She greeted every customer who came through the door. While helping me, she also took a phone call from a potential customer asking if a specific item was in stock (it was), greeted people who came into the store, and handed outgoing mail off to the postal worker.
I got a few bucks for the controllers. I wasn't expecting to get much, but I was happy to make a few dollars and keep some plastic out of the landfill. I was offered the option of store credit or cash. I got a little more by choosing store credit. The worker kindly put my credit on a gift card so I can send it to a young relative who lives in another state and plays video games.
My experience at this GameStop location...
