I do NOT recommend this restaurant.

The food was expensive and the quality was horrible. The rice for the sushi was hard to chew and taste like plastic. The dishes were dirty and looked like they hadn't been replaced in years. The table was dirty and stained and looked like it had been there for way too long. The chair legs were uneven so I felt like I was tipping to one side the whole time. There was a rip in the seat that made it even more uncomfortable and who knows how much dirt is in it.

The restaurant had a moldy smell that made me not able to enjoy my food. The floor was not mopped nor was it in clean standard. The roof looked like it had water damage and i was afraid it would fall on me.

The staff seemed like they were running around with their heads cut off. It seemed like they didn't have enough people working for the amount of people sitting. The one girl working seemed to be stressed the max and employees seemed to show up and and disappear not doing anything.

It seemed like they were taking forever to get me my food and instead of checking up on us they were huddled in groups chatting. I'm all for socializing but not when my food is not on the table. They also seemed to have a management problem. No one seemed to know what they were supposed to be doing.

The menu's were smelly and dirty and the paper was falling out. For such "high class" restaurant that they want to seem, it looked really unprofessional. The food was cold when they finally brought it out. The chicken was hard and it was tasteless. The teriyaki tasted like sugar and there was no flavor to it. I was really unhappy with my food.

I asked to speak to a manger but they told me she was unavailable or not at the restaurant at this time. That she would be back soon, but i don't have time to be waiting for someone to show up. I left very dissatisfied.

OVERALL: Do not go here if you want mediocre food and bad sushi. I was told they had the best sushi but that is just not true. I hope that they get their act together. It used to be really good but lately it seems like they are losing their credit.

The last time i went none of these things were problem. Let's just say that I won't be going back. They are unprofessional and the food is gross. Worst $100 i...

While I'm typically wary of restaurants that blend multiple cuisines, as they often need help executing them well, The Mix is a delightful exception. The chef's abundant talent allows them to explore various culinary backgrounds skillfully without compromising authenticity. This restaurant is especially valuable in a community with limited Asian restaurant options, allowing diners to sample different styles before exploring them further. I indulged in the yakisoba noodles and bulgogi beef during my previous visits, leaving a lasting impression. The yakisoba noodles, grilled vegetables, and optional chicken were a true masterpiece. The noodles were drenched in a rich yakisoba sauce, imparting a wealth of flavor. The carrots, zucchini, and squash retained their natural qualities, adding depth and contrast to the harmonious blend of noodles and perfectly tender grilled chicken. The bulgogi beef, thinly sliced and meltingly tender, is bursting with robust flavors that harmonize beautifully with the accompanying steamed rice. Personally, I find that steamed rice allows the essence of a dish to shine through more vibrantly than fried rice, and this time was no exception.

For anyone exploring Asian cuisine, I highly recommend The Mix as an excellent starting point. The chef's deft fusion of flavors will whet your appetite for further...

We ate here 4 times. 3 of the 4 times we had TERRIBLE service. The other time we were the only table in the restaurant and it was decent. The food is average, but there are so few sushi choices we kept hoping we were just unlucky. Empire Buffet is much better quality, and that is a buffet, who knew!!! We now drive to El Paso for Sushi because even with the commute, we wait less for service. We really hoped they could be decent... I mean we tried 4 times!

Our last time we had reservations, were seated after about 15 minutes of them pretending to clean off the table. You would think it was everyone's first day, except it was the same staff nearly every time we came. We then had to wait 40 more minutes until we were able to get a manager to take our order because everyone ignores you there. We didn't even have silverware or drinks at our table so it seemed pretty obvious we had not been helped.

There is absolutely no reason to try this place. It is consistently terrible. This is the only restaurant review I have ever written, but it is so bad I felt I owed it to Las Cruces to...

Glad we were seated without reservations for VDay, but for us, we were just traveling through. The hostess (a real big guy) was kind of rude about trying to see what he could find for us, when I offered to sit at the bar, rather than be seated, he quickly stopped what he was doing to say “I told you, I’m checking to see what I can do.” . In most cases, I’d hv turned and walked out because he was so rude, but no, I stayed and ate the horrible food. They were out of pork and out of salmon. uh… The HOT saki was room temp, even we mentioned the temp for round two… I put the saki on my plate in hopes that it’d warm up…the Korean bulgogi was tough beef, overcooked, and seasoned with soy sauce at best. The Dynamite roll was okay, very fishy. I’d not go back for any of it. I give two stars because we were seated on a “busy night”, the Asian woman in the black dress was very kind and the decor was very nice.

As a solo diner my experience was subpar at best. I was made to wait and then sat in a corner near a fan. I had to wait at the door. I had to wait for drinks and especially a wait for ordering. They were relatively busy but apparently they can't handle being being busy. The waitress spilled my second drink, partially, and didn't offer to buy anything or discount. I was then brought my receipt without asking and practically rushed out even though they are empty...after the fact they said I could stay as long as I wanted. I gave 3 stars because my actually waitress was nice and the soft shell crab was good. The rest of the sushi I ordered, the rice was colder than the fish. The rice wasn't seasoned at all and cold...I expect that from store bought sushi not fresh at the restaurant. The agedashi tofu is a fried dish but brought it to me soaked in a sauce. Fried food should be crunchy not soggy and wet.

I only did 4 stars because of the lack of space, and if you're a small party (1-3 people) and a big party comes in, be prepared to move tables to compensate for the bigger party. It's not a huge deal but just a minor inconvenience. They are very nice people and the food is VERY good. The two times I have visited, we had been asked to move to a different table for another party. Other people may be irritated by this so just making you aware- it's a small little hole on the wall- but worth it!
