Your voodoo sauce needs salt and something else. It is such a bland sauce. Who invented that sauce? Some boring saltless/spiceless soccer mom? What's the hype with this place? Your sauce needs major improvement. Do you not realize that your burgers need more flavor? Don't try to defend it either just accept this criticism come on. Your burgers have this vague taste to them. All this voodoo themed Louisiana hype doesn't show in the products flavor. The actual meat itself needs flavor. It's so unbelievably bland. I've tried your food more than once and it's still the same. Get some real Cajun people working there to flavor that dull meat. Consider changing your recipe or at least use some more salt it's not going to kill anyone. Cry me a river if you think this place is all that. It's not. Not yet that is. That sauce is not good. It is mayo based yes, so? You're going to need more spices to make it less bland and less rubbery/chemically tasting. Your sauce is so bad I can't believe you think it somewhat screams 'New Orleans' . It's like watered down mayo, plastic tasting. Stop telling your employees to tell the customers that the sauce is 'kind of like Canes sauce' . Y'all's sauce is way too bland to even compare to canes sauce. Canes sauce is way more voodoo than your sauce. Your sauce has a plastic like taste to it. It sucks. People just want to be nice to you coz y'all are new'ish and they were starving and didn't know any better. People would eat anything when they are hungry. Actually try the burger, it's very plain. Go to burger nook or 5 guys and you can actually taste the burgers there. Voodoo burger sounds good. Cool theme etc. (which needs major work) it's a let down. Start with salt. And spices. Nonetheless a very cool idea for a burger joint, nice mural too, great location. Love the idea and work that is going into that place , keep it...

I walked into Voodoo Burgers, excited by the “very customizable” reputation they’ve probably bought. With a menu featuring a grand total of four burgers, I thought customization would be easy. Turns out, I was wrong—and not just by a little.
I asked to swap the sauce for an egg—something that, by the way, is already on their menu—and was promptly told, “We can’t do that.” Not “we don’t usually,” not “that’s not our policy,” but “we can’t.” Really? You can’t handle a single swap when you’re working with four items?
What’s even more absurd is that the only burger that’s supposedly customizable is the expensive one. So, unless you’re willing to fork out their “premium price,” you’re stuck with whatever they’ve decided is good enough for you. If I’m paying $14–$16 for a burger, I at least expect some wiggle room. But no—this place seems to think that charging those prices means they can stick you with whatever the chef decides, and your preferences be damned.
The atmosphere may be calm, but the service is anything but. It’s stiff, inflexible, and downright frustrating. We left, not because we didn’t want a burger, but because when you’re charging expensive prices for a 4-item menu, you better be ready to make a single change. It’s not too much to ask.
In the end, the only thing Voodoo Burgers is customizing is their ability to lose customers over the smallest of requests. If they don’t rethink their “no substitutions” decision, they’ll keep getting what they deserve: empty tables and...
Read moreIn reviewing the past reviews, I would say they have addressed nearly everything I see complaints about. As regulars of Jake's, we finally made it over to VooDoo today. I had the VooDoo Burger and you can tell they took some time to get the blend of flavors just right. It starts with a homemade bun with just a hint of sweetness. Add two thin, but good burger patties with a bit of the crispy edge. Next comes cheese and green chile. I've always been a fan of Jake's green chile, and this was the same. But the VooDoo sauce...wow! I tried it on my tater tot first, and it nearly knocked my socks off! But in the burger, it just adds that bit of extra kick, and made it all come together as a fantastic burger. This made me very happy because the double Jake's burger was my favorite in town. I got a side of tater tots, and they were done perfectly. Too hot to eat when they first came out, but we still managed. There was one server and we were the only table for a few minutes. But by the time we left, the dining room was almost full, and she was doing a great job of handling everybody. We will...
