I've been going to Charlie's for quite some time, my whole family has. Overall, we enjoy the food and atmosphere as Vegas born locals, but today I had enough of the servers' (aka Barbie) attitude after their disrespectful treatment of my service dog and I. They always seem to be in a foul mood, and today was the last instance for me.

Upon sharply asking if my dog was a service animal (with zero follow-up of what services she provides after I ordered scrambled eggs for her, which is when the server asked right after ordering the eggs). Upon the food arriving at my table, I began to scrape the eggs off of the restaurants plate and put it into her own bowl, upon seeing me do this, she quickly and rudely said, "You're not going to feed that dog."

With my knowledge of ADA and what I'm within my legal rights to do, I still searched the ada website as she told me it is against the law for me to feed my animal (a lot of service animals are on strict scheduels for eating etc), and I wanted to be sure if I was in the wrong or not here.... which I was not. My dog is always vested while working, even if not required *

After asking where "Barbie" (I don't know if that's their real name) where she received her information, as it was wrong per the ada website and that I was no longer able to eat (and didn't feed my animal the eggs) she then asked what type of service dog my animal is and what duties she performs for me, which I provided. She also did not take any responsibility for the situation and stated she would inform her coworkers. She is the ONLY server that I have experienced any issues with overall.. including the sour presenting attitude. (She also was rude about my response, as during my medical episode, I did accidentally inform her of one disability).

I was given * ZERO * apology or rectification and treated subpar by "Barbie" as my server due to her lack of knowledge of ADA laws and training on customer service therein. My visit with her as my server has always been low quality due to her foul presenting attitude and verbiage, but this took the metaphorical prize..

Per ADA law, the restaurant is not required to PROVIDE food or water to my service animal, but they are allowed to ask if they may (to be kind). They can not deny me feeding my animal in its own provided dish, it's own food that I am paying for or have brought. The service animal is NOT allowed to sit in a chair at the table, which my animal was located on the floor under the table, near my left leg doing her job.

My service animal will be wearing a camera from now on for instances like this, and more severe issues may they arise.

I included a photo of the basic ADA restaurant laws for Nevada, as it may help future patrons if they experience...

I walked into the restaurant during my lunch break and ordered the Eggs Benedict with a side of bacon. Absolutely delicious! I wish it was a bit more seasoned but other then that there was nothing wrong with the food. The bacon was fine too although a bit too greasy and wish it was padded with a napkin. The lady that helped me and took my order was amazing and quite nice! Its a good feeling when you have a waiter that cares for you and helps you out with anything you need.

The atmosphere and setting of the interior of the restaurant was not bad per say but very dark for some reason. It feels like I walked into a haunted house for a moment! Kidding of course, but I do wish there was a bit more light on the subject. The chairs and furniture was old and a bit creaky and they will probably need to remodel the place very soon, but it seemed very clean and tidy in there. No trash on the floor. There is a bar in the middle and game machines on the bar table! For playing Keno and what not, TVs were playing sports... Just your average run-of-the-mill bar and grill in Vegas! I would recommend...

,Charlies down under was famtastic! We order our meal that arrived in moments! Our waitress, was unbeliveablely friendly and made you feel as if you'd known her for year's! She brought us some Chicken Pot Pie soup to try. It's their Tuesday's soup special. This soup was over the top fantastic. We ordered some to take home with us, it was that good. She also brought us some of their chili to try. This was also something I would order. The food we ordered came hot and was delicious. This was our first visit to Charlies and I can't say enough good things about it. We will definitely be returning and sharing it with...

Unassuming place that seems like a great local place. I don't normally go there but everyone was kind and accommodating towards us as we ate, drank, and played board games. The music is a bit dated, but I'm sure that will be appealing to others. Plenty of older/classic songs that my group knew the words to so maybe it's just me. The appetizers aren't notable or super great, but they do the job for a reasonable price.

I love it here! I'm new to the bar and they treat me so well!!! I've won big a few times already and even won 400 on their Sunday- Thursday drawing!!! Honestly a great local bar and video poker/ keno spot. Food is great but the vibes are even better.
