The service was horrible and a total bummer since it was our wedding anniversary and we were looking forward to trying this Denny's on our block for the first time. We waited a few minutes to be greeted by anyone or to be seated. The entire service felt rushed but slow at the same time from the moment we sat til it was time to pay. We had to constantly wait a long time for items we asked for. We didn't even get a chance to look at the menu before we were asked what we wanted to order. When our server poured our coffee, she poured it so high up, that it splashed all over the table & on my long sleeve (it's black so I don't care about stains) and she just walked away. My husband asked if I was ok and I was like yeah it's just crazy she didn't even apologize or try to wipe up the mess. I felt bad because she looked like she had the floor all on her own and I thought maybe she's just behind so I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt. The one thing that was great was the food, phenomenal actually. I got the crepe combo, cinnabon pancakes, and the hubby got the breakfast slam burger, all was delicious! But once again, asking for coffee refils, creamer, hot sauce, our sides, would all take so long that we couldn't even enjoy our meal. I made the mistake to get up to go get a bottle of cholula sauce because we had our food but we wanted to start eating, without putting my mask on, and was told by my server when she finally came back to our table that if I wanted to walk around the restaurant I had to wear my mask. I just said ok. It was an honest mistake, just a quick get up and sit back down that I didn't even register that I forgot my mask, and quite frankly if we had received the sauce we asked for with our meal I wouldn't have had to get up all all. It was surprising that the focus of the issue was me getting up for a split second without a mask instead of the slow and bad service we had received the entire time. At the end I was just trying to enjoy my pancakes but our server kept coming back over and over asking if everything was ok. I got the gist that she just wanted to close out the check but I was still eating and quite frankly I was over the service, & over being rushed. By then the restaurant was pretty empty and I saw a gentleman come out from the back go up to our server and they talked for a second. She looked up towards our table and then he looked towards me and wouldn't stop staring me down so I just stared back at him and eventually he stopped looking. At that point I asked my husband if he could just pay the check so we could be left alone while I finished my meal. I won't mention the servers name because maybe this was just a bad day for her but she's had previous poor reviews left about her. However, having been a server in the past, I'm far too familiar with poor management that likes to just sit in the back while their servers drown without an ounce of help. Perhaps instead of attempting to intimidate guests who are just coming to enjoy a meal with a stare down, the management can focus on being on the floor greet guests, assist their servers with refils, get condiments, and overall support the floor so the servers are set up for success. Read moreThank you to the wonderful women that was there.. And the chef on sight.. I just went there for 5 to go orders..just 5 light breakfasts's ..my family flown in from Connecticut.. I was not going to bring them,mind you to..and after a long flight to Robert's tacos or anything near the Strip of any sorts...jet lag is real... The best slams of any good eating...is Dennys. Always will be....long story short...I wish I got names...but hearing from this post...she'll know who I was...5 orders to go...delayed at the airport..in vegas..noo..lol I was told I can put this order on hold...already paid....I could go pick them up ...and bring them back.. If this is not 3am morning service...40min we all come in... I share from the door ..spot on service.. Welcome in.. We've been waiting...any coffee..water...maybe a soda...this is 3am.. It was lay over after lay over.. All they kept saying after the great service an hospitality...how great the pancakes were... Fresh. fluffy. Tasteful.. Eggs ..bacon.. Read moreIt's difficult for me to give credible ratings with the star system rating. I'll explain; I'm giving this Denny's 4 stars only because the food was decent and the building clean. I would hope it's clean seeing as this is a fairly new establishment - building and all. Anyway, as I stated, food was good and proportions adequate. Service was poor to non-existent. We were seated and initially waited on rather quickly and that's where it ended. It took nearly 40 minutes to get our food. Not one came to even refill the water received upon being seated. If you guessed we got no other beverage you'd be correct. So, I'm hoping this is a one time ordeal and if that's the case I'll be giving this Denny's a better rating in the future as I'm not going to make a final decision not to go back based on this experience.
