Got takeout from here for my first (and only*) time ever tonight. The service was good but unfortunately it was not enough for me to ever want to order from here again.
It was kinda sad and not very clean looking inside. It was about dusk and there was not a single light on, all the condiments on every table were close to empty and looked like they had been that way for awhile. One of the two decorations they had inside wasn't even hung up, it was just propped against the wall behind some chairs. There were dirty cups and silverware piled up right where they make Boba teas and all their syrups and backstock for the teas were right on the front counter as well. The curtain they had up between the dining room and the kitchen kinda gave me the ick too. I'm sure behind that curtain is a health inspector's nightmare.
I ordered a decent amount of food to share and it was all barely a knotch above edible. The hot&sour soup had a very strange and off-putting taste that had a slight barnyard like smell.....not trying to be mean but I've had hot&sour soup many times and this one tasted like it had gone bad. After forcing a second small bite to make sure I really couldn't stomach it, I immediately poured it down the garbage disposal.
The rest of the food as okay...I guess. The food was warm(ish) but not fresh and the actual ingredients seemed like they were on the very edge of going bad too.
All in all I feel like I got pulled in by their moderately decent rating and figured I'd give it a try. The people were very nice but the food and the restaurant are a...
Read moreThis was the worst Chinese food I've ever had in my life. The high ratings are either fake or from people who have no basic standard when it comes to decent food, let alone good food. Everything was bland and tasteless. The chow main was terrible. How is it even possible to make nasty chow mean? We tried to add soy sauce to it to give it some flavor but that still didn't work. The beef and broccoli was gross. After a few bites I couldn't eat it anymore. My appetizer arrived at least 30 minutes AFTER the entree. Salt and pepper chicken...it wasn't even hot and was covered in so much garlic it was sickening. The chicken itself seemed old and dry. I'll put money on it that it was probably precooked and stacked deep in a freezer somewhere for months before serving. It took at least 45 .minutes just to get out entree also. When I yell you even the Sprite was nasty...I'm being serious. It's like the sprite had no sugar in it. Just nasty. Small venue on a little hill which is why I decided to try it but I've never ate nasty Chinese food until this day. I left a full plate of beef and broccoli, full plate of salt pepper chicken and plate of chow mein on the table before leaving. We barely ate anything and owner refuses to ge me a refund for my $41 spent. Instead offered me free food. Told him I would never let put his food in mouth again and that it was terrible. I will be disputing this with my bank. His wife in the back who cooks lost all of her passion or just never knew how to cook in the first place. This place should be on...
Read moreI have seen this restaurant and passed by it for many years! We got one of their menus in the mail and decided to give it a try and called and ordered for pick up. I drove to the restaurant and walked inside to find a cute small "hole in the wall" store. Not long after, I got my food after as he was quick to serve me my Thai tea after paying. Jackie, who I believe is the owner, was working hard with the chef in the kitchen when I walked in. It's refreshing to support a local business and see that sort of thing. They have a small opening to the kitchen which is neat.
Price: The food here is considerably cheap, and for three main dishes and a Thai tea, the total cost was $40.53 (10 wings from wingstop is like $17) so it is safe to say you can feed an entire family less than $50 which is almost unheard of these days.
Food: I got home and the sesame chicken was still crispy! It's a delicious dish that you have to get! I must try. The shrimp fried rice was absolutely packed to the fullest, please see the picture attached. The shrimp chops taste like what you would get from any restaurant Spring Mountain! Last but not least the food was freshly made, delicious, enjoyable, and cheap
10/10 would try again.
So glad my family and I finally...
