Jake's Bar — Restaurant in Las Vegas

I've been going to this bar for about 5 years now, and last night was my last time ever going back! I'm here every Friday for the steak dinner because it's a good deal for $14 and the bartender Brittney, there's actually two of them, and they are both AMAZING, but after last night I'd rather go eat a beef hotdog at the stage door on the strip and get cheaper drinks..so lastnight I put money in the jukebox like everyone else and played a few songs. When my songs came on, the owner(Cindy) came out and cut them off IMMEDIATELY! Now granted, this is your bar and you choose what music you want to hear, but when you have a jukebox for customers who pay their money to listen to their music, what gives you the right to just cut it off!? At least give the customer their money back. After she did that, the bartenders immediately knew it was a problem. One bartender told me that she doesn't like rap music and removed all the rap and Hispanic music out the jukebox. How prejudice! I asked him, why would you want to work for someone like that, and he said because he needs the money..I'd rather stand on a corner holding a sign then KNOWINGLY work for a racist business owner! He continued to say he lost a lot of his night clients because of this. I don't usually write reviews but I think people should know what type of business owner is getting their money. Supposedly she tells the bartenders that her older white customers have been coming there for years and do not want to hear that music..so maybe she should put a sign on her door that states "whites only"! Had I known she was a racist, I would NEVER have stepped foot in there or spent a dime in that place! I definitely will never be back..Don't spend your money in a racist bar..Vegas is full of bars that love ALL people of ALL races..this is...

This bar was truly phenomenal. My husband and I went based on google reviews. We wanted to get out of the crowded Las Vegas scene hoping to find something that reminded us a little more of home. We were traveling west for a week from central Indiana. When we found this bar, we realized we made the best decision! The bartenders number one were so nice and on top of everything that we needed before we even ran out! Robert, Jen and Brittany were our bartenders for the night and man they never missed a step. Robert looked up specifically how to make the drink I wanted just because he wanted to go above and beyond. Instead of saying he didn’t know how to make that drink and having me order something else. Now that’s customer service. Jen was a delight. She really made us feel at home even though we were thousands of miles away from our home. Then there’s the locals. They are such a sweet and fun group! They welcomed us with open arms and created a wonderful evening for us! Drinks are strong and cheap. Food is good and cheap. Heaven right there. Do you want to go to a place that makes you feel like you’re at home? Do you want to go to a place that is fun and has a wonderful atmosphere? Do you want to NOT pay 15 dollars for a 6oz watered down drink that literally does nothing for you like at the Excalibur Hotel?? Then this is the place for you!!! Since I can't reply to the owner's message, I'll reply here. Cindy, you did IN FACT come from where ever you were in the back and turned the music right off..As a matter of fact I was on a live stream on social media where I have 40,000 plus followers talking about it when you did it and will gladly download the stream for everyone to see. You can clearly hear the bartenders yell "Homer did it" when you changed the song because they didn't want to say I did it..I have NO reason to lie as I have been coming there for 5 years.. the "R" word is the only way to explain why you would storm out from wherever you were and turn off Drake and put on rock n roll, as you did..honestly, I listen to all kinds of music but that's what I chose to play with MY money and unfortunately did not get to hear it..As far as having a "bad" night, I actually had a "WONDERFUL" night..just a bad experience with a "R" business owner..No biggie, you have many other customers who come in and spend money so losing me as a customer of course is no big deal, but I will speak the truth for others to think first before spending their money with an "R"..I don't wanna talk to you about anything, you did what you did and showed your true colors..I wish it happened long before I spent years of my hard earned money in that...
