I've been wanting to try this buffet for a while now. I saw their Easter brunch special on their website with a list of food for their special. Didn't realize it cost twice of their normal Sunday brunch. We saw a lot of people that have waited on a long line walked away once they saw the price by the register. Since I've been wanting to try this place for a while now, I thought what the heck I'm committed now, and I was really hungry since I haven't eaten anything yet. Once inside, the meat section has a long line, so I skipped and went to the pasta and Asian food section. The spaghetti and meatballs, chicken pesto, and short ribs ravioli were delicious. The chicken and beef fried rice was good (I'm Asian and their fried rice taste just as good as my own fried rice nothing to wow me), their Mongolian beef was so tender but extremely salty, so salty that I didn't finish my fried rice that got the Mongolian sauce on it. Their Asian fried chicken was salty too. Veggie egg rolls taste like any Asian buffet eggrolls. Moving on to carving station, I had some fried fish and garlic fries which were delicious and crispy but greasy (got heartburn from it after), leg of lamb that was gamey and fatty I took a bite and pushed it to the side. I'm glad I didn't take a whole cut of the prime rib, I took a bite of my friend's prime rib, it wasn't tender and need au jus to make it good. The Mac and cheese was really good and smoky, and the grilled asparagus was delicious. The best thing of the meal was their dessert. The cheesecake cake pop was really good, so was the carrot cake. I'm really torn about this place, some food was delicious, but the meat was ok and not enough selection. For $60 I was expecting good selection of fresh seafood like shrimp and crab, but I didn't see any of it. Our meal doesn't worth the extra money that they charged. I'm not sure...
Read moreRe the MARKET BUFFET in the Rampart Casino We go to this buffet regularly and typically are impressed with how friendly and pleasant the staff are. This was not the case this last time in. We had the unfortunate luck of being placed in "Mario's" section. He was the worst server that we have ever encountered in Vegas. We sat down and he NEVER came to our table to offer us drinks, until we made the effort to engage him. This all happened while he made chitty-chat with the people at the table next to us who were seated about 7 -10 minutes after us. We could not help but notice that they were quickly offered drinks and extra napkins, while we were offered nothing. When I did ask for extra napkins, he gave me the nastiest look. The eye contact that I got off this guy was creepy and bordered threatening. It was as if he thought he knew me from somewhere.... ? I do not know, but it was bizarre at best. When I asked for bottled water, he made a huge production about this; stated that he would have to walk to a different section of the room to get it, and that the bottled water was only for staff. I have been given bottle water at least a dozen times at this buffet and never had it be such an issue. Finally, he brought us 2 small bottles. THAT IS ALL WE HAD TO DRINK OUR ENTIRE DINNER! He never ONCE while we were dining, asked if we wanted something else to drink or if we needed anything. I tried to speak with a manager at the end of this experience, but as it was getting close to closing time there was no one in the cashier area. Mario's behavior was at best strange and not how anyone should be treated when they go out to dine. F- / 0 is the rating for...
Read moreIt was a pretty decent meal I actually came here because it was Deli night and I wanted to see all these assortments of deli meats and cheeses and salami and just go crazy on deli food. Turns out it was a coupon night or something and they had it half off for anyone with the player's card so the lines were long and I actually didn't get in until almost 7:45 and remember they close at 8 p.m. but I knew they would leave the food out long enough for me to get some food and they did I didn't necessarily sees much Deli stuff as I wanted I didn't know if that's because it was late or it's because maybe Deli night was scratched this week because of the coupon night brother know that they did have the prime rib and everything else that I love it this place and that's why I keep coming back cuz it's a really good Buffet no matter what night you go. All in all really good food and even at $30 which is the normal price it's still not that bad considering it's one of the few buffets still left inside of a casino. Make sure when you're done and want to walk up some food you go back behind the buffet towards the convention center and find the Zen walk it's really picturesque and beautiful looking...
