Update: We've been back numerous times now and finally decided to try out a few Paninis and they were excellent! This place keeps coming up with amazing food options, a reason to keep coming back!
We were driving down Rancho when we noticed this new spot had just opened, so my wife and I decided to give it a try for dinner. Let me tell you, I'm so glad we did!
Even though they were about to close when we walked in, the staff greeted us warmly and happily invited us in to place a to-go order. That level of hospitality already set a great tone for the experience.
We decided to try three sandwiches: the Nom Pang Special and the Pork Belly, and while they were preparing our order, we struck up a wonderful conversation with the staff. We learned that it's a family-owned business, and they shared how excited they were to be in this location. Their passion for what they do was evident and made us feel even more excited to try their food. About six minutes later, our order was ready, neatly packed up, and we were on our way home.
As soon as we got home, we opened up the Nom Pang Specials and took our first bites. Wow—what an experience! Each bite was bursting with flavor. The bread had the perfect balance of crunch and softness, and the fillings were fresh and incredibly seasoned. We savored every bite, enjoying the unique spices and textures. After finishing the Nom Pang, we moved on to the Pork Belly sandwich, sharing halves. It was equally amazing—rich, tender, and packed with bold flavors that were perfectly balanced.
What stood out about this experience wasn’t just the mind-blowing sandwiches, but the whole package: the warm welcome, the genuine connection with the staff, and the clear passion they put into their craft. This isn’t just another sandwich spot—it’s a gem that feels like home.
We’re thrilled to have discovered this place and are already planning our next visit. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and check it out—you’ll be just as...
Read moreCouple of weeks ago I went in the afternoon after work on a Friday. It was close due to their short supply of ingredients. One of the owner apologized and we end up talking about restaurants our culture and the food. As of typing this I was there about an hour ago. I’m happy to hear how their business is being very busy but did not expect to be packed.
Then I’m guessing I see the whole family working the young lady at the register/cleaning and hosting. Grandma working on the sandwiches and the parents at the kitchen. I can tell it the work they do is all sweat, passion, and the dedication to bring out wonderful dishes for both Cambodians and new foodie explorers to try.
When coming here to try understand it’s a small family business that will take a little longer than normal and also dishes are always fresh in which they have a sign that stating it’s not a fast food place. Prepare of the smells of multiple herbs of lemongrass, galangal, ginger, garlic, and other aromatic spices. With some hint of fermented umami (some of southeast Asian knows what it is). I know they do takeout orders which I feel I will doing for some big orders.
Next time I want to try the Chicken Curry and Sawl Machu Kroeung. Instead I had the Nom pan Special. Eating this remind me my parents buying these sandwiches in Long Beach (I think those place no longer exist or haven’t found any) before going on a big trip (Disneyland, Sea World, Zoo, or Las Vegas) the bread is very crunchy, meat is plentiful and not overpowering between each other, and the veggies was very spot on how they made it with sweet and savory pickled carrots & daikon. The lemongrass beef, how my wife describe it was at a get together gathering with my side of the family. Overall the food was delicious, filling and satisfying. It brings out those core memories of my parents who I will be ever thankful for.
The owners, thank you for creating this place. I wish your business continues to...

This is a Cambodian restaurant. If you don’t know anything about Cambodian food it is similar to Vietnamese. There are subtle differences however. Not sure where the distinctions between them come from, but you can taste a difference.
It’s a small-ish place on Rancho near Craig. A bit of a trek for us Hendo peeps but absolutely worth the drive. Staff is friendly and will help you understand the menu if you’re not sure what to order.
Food centers on their sandwiches which are similar to Vietnamese banh mi. Their traditional Cambodian sandwiches are called “nom pang”. Delicious stuff. We had the “combo” nom pang which has pate, ham, head cheese, and steam pork. Sounds unusual but it all comes together beautifully. Served on a great French roll, crunchy but soft. Take the jalapeno off if you’re sensitive to very hot peppers.
They have a variety of specialty dishes here too. We had the “baw baw” which is a chicken rice soup dish. Perfect for cold winter days or if you’re under the weather. Wonderful comfort food. It’s served with a fried dough you can dip into the soup. A must have dish. Other specials are written on the wall so read everything before deciding what to order. Great drinks too.
Family owned and run Cambodian business. Great people from San Fransisco. I hope they succeed because there is no place like...
