Went here recently with my wife during a quick long weekend getaway in Vegas; primarily based off of the positive reviews that I saw online. First; after the experience we had; I think that most of those reviews are potentially manufactured. Even some a lot o the pictures are not reflective of what we saw. After our experience; there is NO WAY this place can be rated a 4.7. Initially, my wife thought the Omelet House was closed down due to the outside appearance. We didn't really think much of it as there were clear signs of construction in the area. After navigating the maze to get to the dining room; you are met with what I would describe as an attempt of preserving history; however it looked old and run down. It didn't smell that good either. With the thought of more than 4,000 people giving this place a 4.7 rating...we decided to order food anyway. Big Mistake! As we waited for our food....we started to really notice our surroundings. The carpet (yes...carpet in a restaurant dining room from 1979) was a stained dingy green. I think the source of the moldy and stuffy smell that just sat in the air. The coffee was...well it was...not coffee, but dirty water. I ordered one of their famous specialty scrambled eggs that was just disgusting. The ham was flavorless and chewy. The spuds (potato chips?) were stale, and the eggs just soggy. It was a big mess on a plate that did not look appetizing at all. For the first time in my life I actually spat out the food in a napkin after taking a couple bites. My wife and I - confused...decided to read over the reviews again; which inspired this review. We found it very distasteful in how the owner responded to some of the negative reviews. As opposed to taking ownership and listening to their customers; they were very defensive, argumentative, and not at all professional. Honestly...this place needs a full reboot, and I do not...

Its unassuming exterior conceals a warm and inviting interior that exudes character and comfort—a well-appointed diner where each aspect is meticulously curated to foster a sense of coziness and delight.
During my recent visit, I enjoyed indulging in the "38 Special" Meatlovers Omelet, a true masterpiece designed for those who revel in bold and hearty flavors. This exquisite creation expertly blended the rich, savory essence of smoky ham, crispy bacon, and well-seasoned sausage with the luscious creaminess of melted Jack cheese. The result was an extraordinary fusion of textures and flavors that danced harmoniously on the palate. A slice of freshly baked banana bread was served alongside to complement this savory delight. Its moist and tender crumb, infused with the natural sweetness of ripe bananas and a hint of cinnamon, offered a gentle counterbalance to the robust and flavorful omelet.
The dining experience at Omelet House was not just about the food, but also about the exceptional service provided by a dedicated team of staff members. Their attentiveness and genuine warmth transformed a casual meal into an extraordinary occasion. Each interaction was marked by thoughtful engagement, ensuring that every request was met with promptness and care. This personal touch fostered a connection that is often elusive in many dining establishments, making the experience feel uniquely special.
In conclusion, Omelet House emerges as a beacon of culinary brilliance and heartfelt hospitality within the bustling tapestry of Las Vegas. This diner is genuinely an unmissable destination for anyone seeking a sophisticated yet comforting sanctuary—where every dish is crafted with love, and every bite...
Read moreThe business location is a bit odd. You have to enter a door that passes you through a multiple business front that gives a bit of a flea market or emporium impression. Once your inside the access to Omelet House at this location is a bit confusing, but they have put up a LOT of signs to guide you along the way. Pay attention to the signs, they are helpful. And be prepared, they have you exit from a different door.
Inside the restaurant it was a bit noisy, possibly due to being close to the kitchen. And they were busy. The staff was pleasant and helpful in most every way. The service was slightly slower than expectation. Most notable the food seemed to be a bit slow coming out, my wife had the impression her meal sat under a heat lamp for a long while.
The food was good. My brother enjoyed his omelet and my wife and I enjoyed our Stuffed French Toast. On the negative side my brothers unsweetened tea was a hair under $5. My assumption is that sodas and such are also at the same price. If you don't mind being stabbed in the eye by that price point, go for it, otherwise maybe get water with your meal.
In most respects the menu choices are good and prepared in a tasteful manner. One exception. You only get one choice for potato prep with meals where you might expect hash browns of some kind. At Omelet House you get roughly 1/8 in potato wedges that are deep fried. They come a bit crispy & greasy and for me and my wife, they are not very appealing. They have no other prep for potatoes available to choose from to go with a breakfast meal.
Flip that coin over, and you have the Banana Nut Bread. OMG. You might think you died and went to heaven. You can also buy extra Banana Nut Bread...
