I understand it's Taco Bell and that it's a fast food restaurant. But....🤦let's just start from the beginning. The establishment is located on the corner of Cheyenne and Jones, next to a Jack in the Box (which has better customer service) and a car wash (which apparently if you work at said car wash you can get free drinks all day as long as you come in with a Taco Bell cup). When I walked in, the place was empty of customers (first red flag), I used the kiosk to place my order. I ordered two #17's which is a crunch wrap meal. I modified the first crunch wrap by taking off the cheese, and adding potatoes. The second crunch wrap was also modified to no jalapeno sauce and no bacon and switching out the Patty for steak. What I ordered should include: Crunchwrap meal #1 included: Large drink, two cinnamon poppers, breakfast crunch wrap (Tortilla, eggs, potatoes, bacon, hash brown and sausage patty). Crunch wrap meal #2: Large drink, two cinnamon poppers, crunch wrap( Tortilla, eggs, cheese, hash brown, steak) with a order of 12 cinnamon poppers. Which came to a grand total of $17.94. What we got: 2 large drinks (btw parts of their drink fountain constantly fell apart in our cup and several other customers). A container of hard cinnamon poppers, two packages of individual cinnamon poppers, and two breakfast crunch wraps (meal 1: Tortilla, eggs, hash brown and potatoes. Meal 2: Tortilla, cheese and egg, hashbrown and sour cream). When we went to the cashier we told them this isn't what we ordered. They then said because one said no bacon they assumed we didn't want meat in any of them. Which I replied, one was to have steak no bacon, the other a sausage patty with bacon. Neither had bacon, sausage patty or steak. Which she replied she can redo it if we pay for the meat. Which I then said why when I did for $17.94!?! Run....run far away. The Taco Bell on Cheyenne and Durango is so...

Read moreI stopped by this specific Taco Bell today since the other nearby location further north on Rancho Drive near Big Dog's Draft House is currently located in a slow-going and stressful construction zone with road work being performed.
The menu has gotten to be so extensive at Taco Bell with all sorts of combinations, options and specials available nearly all the time that it's quite overwhelming to make the right choice.
Thus, I radically simplified the decision making process by picking a currently advertised special - a Chalupa box with included beverage. And yes I must confess: it was naked and quite tasty too!
I find that Mexican food with whatever spin you may want to give it is just the thing for a change-of-pace meal to break the seemingly endless fastfood chain of burgers, chicken and the like.
Taco Bell - the franchise leader in this type of cuisine - consistently provides its customers with a needed pick-me-up of this kind very...
