Don't take your baby here. Took my willow here because he had eaten something that he could not digest and it blocked him up. They ran there tests and found the blockage At first, money was tight, but they said they would work with me. In the tune of 1200 for the cost of surgery 2 days before Xmas eve, Then on Christmas Eve, he wasn't doing any better, said he would have to have surgery Ok, understand they told us that they couldn't do the surgery till after Christmas, and he wouldn't have survived till then. I didn't have the 4,000+ emergency after hours cost a different vet was wanting to do it that day. Then, i was basically forced to surrender him to be able to save his life. That was the only way they would get him the surgery the next day. Elizabeth told me that night that I could readopt him back now. Now, im being told they won't give him back to me. Saying that I can't afford him when yet yes I can. I've been trying to talk to the owner and keep getting the run around. I want my baby back...
To fill in the details hearts quote was 1200 said on Xmas Eve couldn't be done till that Monday, that's where the 4k came from was to have another vet do the surgery, HAV told us they didn't Believe he would have lived that long and because the next day was Xmas, the only option to save his life was surrender him, we were told at that time we could fill out the forms to readopt no problem, stayed in communications with the staff over there to do checkin to see how willow was progressing and doing cause of the blockage we were told he had a long recovery time which I understand and it would be some time down the road before he would be ready, fast forward from the to now someone in there adoption place said the refused to allow us to even get him back despite the surrender because according to this person the address we provided was a parking lot yes the place has a parking lot but no its a motel , next issue someone said he was mis treated far &$jking from it I like my furs more then any human on the rock then the next excuse was they try to put words in my mouth saying that supposedly said in there office I couldn't afford to feed him that never once came from us or out of my mouth. All my animals have 24 hour dry feed always been that way after which were told we didn't deserve him. Like said before at the 1200 no problem to get him his surgery but was forced to surrender cause 4000+ emergency holiday fees was a hard rock to clime was told take him home he will die on Xmas day basically or surrender and he gets the surgery on Xmas Day. Otherwise havc would have done it then for us and everything else could have been avoided and instead of a rant would have been a praise. So I fail to see how any of this was entirely my fault if any did what needed to save my baby Maine coons willows life back in December when it was a timing issue that no one was working cause the world closed on a day that seems to have lost all its meaning of...
Read moreVery upset on my last visit to the clinic. I took my new puppy here due to my positive experience with adopting a puppy from here. However, when it came to this visit with my new puppy NOT satisfied at ALL with the visit. When the Veterinarian joined the room they got straight to business which is great however they did not take time to at least educate me on what was being done. They started injecting my dog with vaccines (which I brought vaccines in to talk about before we started the appointment). I took a moment to request the Veterinarian slow down and explain to me what was going on which led the vet to became very frustrated. No one told me at least what was going on. No one took the time to go over any fees. They wait till you check out and just give you a bill. No estimate is signed and no heads up is given they will treat your dog without consulting the YOU the PERSON RESPONSIBLE for the puppy/dog/my companion. When it came to the microchipping process the doctor left the room IMMEDIATELY after the vaccines which is pretty much all that was done. Two unlicensed professionals handled the microchipping which led too TWO FAILED attempts. That resulting in my puppy to continuously bleed. When bringing it to their attention they said there is nothing they can do just let the bleeding stop. They could’ve started with the license professional handling the procedure. NOT just leave the room due to QUOTE “she doesn’t like to be here for it” as stated from the worker who failed to administer the microchip. After this I still had unanswered questions for the Veterinary and requested she come back to discuss the puppy check up which is what I scheduled for. The Vet did not come back and we had to rely on the front desk to answer all our questions. Really sad I had this experience here after the great experience I had with rescuing a dog here but as far as medical team there are other places in the area who will at least take time to inform you what’s going on with you puppy/dog before they just do what they want send you out with a bill and half ass Serivce We had came in for a professional consult with a Veterinarian which resulted in my puppy bleeding and horrible...
Read moreWhat a crock. Dr. Costa attempted to rip me off. First she tried to insult me and make me defensive when she looked at my cats' teeth, exclaiming, "Have you EVER gotten their teeth cleaned?!" I've gotten both my cats' teeth cleaned once every 2-4 years. They are 16-17 years old. She then tried to convince me that my cat had an abscess and needed at "LEAST" 5 teeth pulled and that they were grade 3. There is a chart in the rooms that you can compare their teeth to. My cat's teeth were at most a grade 2. This isn't my first rodeo and I work in healthcare for humans, I know how to assess and I know what abscesses look like. I then replied that neither of my cat's have EVER had teeth pulled and she acted shocked. Probably because I've never brought them to her... Another thing that's happened recently with the office, there was a mass quitting of vets there, hhhmmmm I wonder why. Being in the medical field I know that some providers are harassed into over-diagnosing and unnecessary procedures by office administration in small clinics. You really cannot sue if anything happens to your pet because the laws don't protect them like they do humans. Do yourself a favor and pay the extra money and take your pet to a REAL vet office. It's not worth hurting your furry friend unnecessarily or at the extra expenses they try to rack up out of greed. I'm telling you, avoid this place like the plague. I say this out of care and concern. I will also say that the lobby/waiting area smelled absolutely horrendous. Urine and feces that was really pungent. I've been to this place numerous times to volunteer and it never smelled this bad. I'd be really concerned about infection prevention. Also to note; their prices aren't too much cheaper, I'm going to an all cat hospital and the cleaning themselves will be cheaper, the initial visit fee is 25$ more, that's it, the labs all...
