Went to the Der Wienerschnitzel on Rancho and Cheyenne. While wanting for the staff to make our order. One of the employees wearing gloves stopped to pick up trash with her hands off the floor. As I stood there watching her. She went next to the counter where I could see her very clearly, and she started opening a new bag of hotdogs buns with the same gloves, she just picked up trash with off the floor. She cut open the bag, lift all the buns and loaded in the cabinet, with other buns. I couldn't believe what I was watching! Then I asked her to stop...And ask for the Mgr. I told the Mgr.what I just watched her do. She didn't dispose of her gloves for new ones after pick up trash on the floor. She didn't wash her hands, with the sink that was also by the counter. And that she just put all those buns in the cabinet! Total contamination and just gross. Many people go to eat here and it was disgusting to watch her do this. The employee heard and watched me tell her Mgr. , what she did. And the employee, said to me..."What's the big deal? " Really????? If she doesn't understand it, then she needs to take the Healthcare class again or find a different kind of work! I use to know the owners of this store years ago. Sadly, he and his wife had to retire, due to his health. This business isn't ran very well in my opinion and since it's a franchise business, the Corporate office didn't have much to say about it either. Will never go here again... And say, the Der Wienerschnitzel at 2071 Rock Springs is worth the drive if craving Der...

Read moreUpdate: Owners made big updates to the building, cleaned up and repainted building. The cashier, managers and staff are always very kind and helpful. The area of town should not limit their stars earned. Good people, good food. I will definitely be back! I would say definitely one of the best of the 'schnitzels in town :)
The Schnitz is iconic. Great deals, great dogs. Try out the specialty fries! The owner is a nice lady. I passed on the fifth star due to the environment, around and in this schnat. At times there are vagrants. The owners have to push them out or call the cops. On the light side you may have an opportunity to help out someone in need by offering them a 5 for $5 or even a 10 for $10... Win win eh?
But really, a great place to have a classic dog. There's just something about it, share the...
