There are many examples from my dinner of bad service. We just stopped getting water before we were done, which was surprising when you pay nearly $700 for a dinner. We asked if we could celebrate our friend with a candle and bubbles. They said yes, and then brought the person we were celebrating my dessert? I don't understand how this could be messed up. It wasn't fixed when we asked about it. They should have either said that they cannot do a bubble/candle for her if it's not her birthday (we were clear it was not her birthday and we just wanted to know if we could celebrate her) OR that she must pick one of XYZ desserts to do it. I was fine to pay for it, obviously, but to literally just not bring me the dessert I ordered from you and serve it to someone else at my table? I was shocked. It wasn't an accident either, when I asked about it she said they gave it to my friend because we were celebrating her. I wasn't even the one who asked for the bubbles! At least take THAT person's dessert if you thought that's what we meant. How did they decide on just taking a random person at the tables dessert?
However, the worst part was when I tried to secretly pay for my friends check. I've done this at countless restaurants! It's usually easy, and they do it slyly and say "someone already paid for you." I went to the host stand and told her I wanted to pay for my friend covertly. The host was very nice, took my card, said she would find my waiter and figure it out. Next thing I know, the waiter comes over gives me my card back with the check and says, "I can split this three ways, just figure out how you want to do it." We'll, way to ruin it!!! At the very least, come ask me to talk and explain what I want when I'm NOT in front of the person I'm trying to secretly pay for! It was just wild. The dinner is all you can eat, the check is not difficult to figure out. Put me and the person I'm paying for on one, and everyone else on the next. I could have said that had she not just blantantly outed me in front of the whole table. Then they all insisted on splitting the check of the friend we were celebrating because nice people do that. I really wasn't wanting to burden any of them with the check so this was very frustrating for me.
Overall, just very poor communication from the waiter. Besides when she just decided we didn't want water anymore, everything else could have been handled well by the waiter just telling us what her plan was so we could stop her from making those...

Long & Sad Tale of Woe: Unfortunately (never a good way to start a review), we had an absolutely terrible experience on 11/11/23 at this restaurant. We had heard very good things over the years from a dear friend, who has since passed away, and came full of hope and high expectations for Date Night. Instead, our anticipation quickly turned into disappointment and eventually to downright irritation and anger.
Our server, Lucy, initially seemed on top of things and asked us to let her know if we wanted to try any particular cuts of meat that may take longer than usual to prepare. We told her prime rib and lamb chops and she assured us they would come out promptly.
After 90 minutes (LITERALLY, 90!) and multiple reassurances and apologizes from no less than 4 different employees of varying degrees of authority, we barely got 1 pass of the lamb chops (that were tiny) and never saw the prime rib. We also never received some of the sides we had ordered with Lucy.
Sadly, the salad bar was abysmal and the other 90 minutes of our stay was met with extremely sporadic meat service (waiting at least 10 minutes per pass, often longer) that mainly focused on pushing cheap cuts of poultry, sausage, and bbq pork ribs that we would not even eat. My husband's personal favorite, picanha, first came out (about 45 minutes in and after asking for it multiple times) so overcooked it was gray and leathery and then we had to wait, once again, at least another 30 minutes before we saw it again.
At $60 per person, the entire experience was downright insulting. The management came by our table multiple times apologizing for the continued wait for the lamb chops, prime rib, and picanha, and assuring us they were "checking with the kitchen", etc, but never once seemed to be able to make the requested meats appear much less practice true service recovery. They could've offered a free dessert, comped one of our drinks, heck even allowed us to take home our lamb chop bones to our dog (as we requested), but no. They did NOTHING to rectify this horrible and expensive situation. Actions truly speak louder than the litany of cheap and ineffectual words that were spewed at us for over 90 minutes.
We will gladly spend the extra $6.50 per person to go to Fogo de Chão in the future and strongly encourage everyone else to follow suit. If you still choose to try Via Brasil, you can't say I...

I came here 2x to try out both the dinner and the infamous brunch. This was my first time ever trying a Brazilian Steakhouse Experience. Go figure, I'm a foodie and never entertained this. And let's just say I wish I knew some things up front. Lol
Upon entering was quickly greeted and ushered over to a table. The menus were placed, the DO YOU WANT MORE MEATS place cards were given. And the drink order was taken. Now my experience was different probably than most. As I started out with one server and at the end of the night ended up with a whole food adventure tour guide. Kendall broke down the experience and how to do it. All the way with the tongs which I was highly pleased.
Sometimes if you don't know how to get the most out of the experience because you've never done it, this can be intimidating and why alot of people aren't willing to try new cuisines. Even for something as simple as, you use your tong that is located in your napkin to grab the meat from the top of the slice as Gauchos come around.
Now Kendall the ultimate food tour guide placed an exceptional order for us. To ensure we got all the meats to try. And goodness he has great taste. All the way down to the baked cheese. And I'll admit my highlight was that garlic Steak and baked cheese that I may have had more than 2x. Don't judge me. Lol and goodness go for the dessert too. It is worth it.
Interior is huge. This place can accommodate small intimate parties to more large lavish should you choose. There is a large salad bar in the middle, and an immaculate wine cellar to just admire. Everything was exceptionally clean. Music was playing in the background.
Would most def recommend the night experience. My brunch experience was night and day unfortunately. Our server informed us that he can't pre-order the meat for us as I had during the night experience, and that we can wait for the meat to come around. This 5 star rating is for my night experience with Kendall and Lucy. By far fabulous employees and they made my entire night. Pricing is a reflection of quality and...
