Caution: Poor Craftsmanship at MJ Christensen Jewelers

Having worn my engagement ring daily for 20 years without incident, I entrusted MJ Christensen Jewelers in Las Vegas with crafting a custom setting after my finger outgrew the ring. However, within just 10 months, the center stone fell out. The manager's response was dismissive, lacking sympathy or assistance. There's no guarantee or warranty on their work. Seek a jeweler who values craftsmanship and accountability.

Please contact me if this has suddenly changed. Also, you did not "provide" me with an appraisal, I paid an extra $350 for one to be made in case of loss or theft. I did not expect the diamond to fall out. Thank you for offering but I do not need help calling my insurance. I wish to warn people that you do not stand by your work. Instead, it is expected the customer cover themselves at all costs. Also, please remove me from your SMS list. I was highly disappointed after seeing so many of their commercials that 'appear' to be a good place to buy jewelry.

I viewed their website before going in and found a sterling silver ring I wanted to get for what they advertised for $100! I attached a picture of this ring and as you can clearly see the ring appears to be 2 rings fused together to make one, which besides the price was what I found to be so attractive about the ring to go buy it.

When I arrived at the store the lady brought out 3 silver rings that were hanging together by a literal thread, and get this, in only 1 single size! None of the rings were fused together and if I wanted to get the ring in my size I would have had to pay their jeweler $50 per ring to get it re-sized, even though this particular ring is being sold as 1 ring!! So now this ring that's clearly advertised for $100 would become a $250 total investment just to get it in my size!

This is clearly deceptive trade practices and false advertising and I won't be singing any praises for this jeweler.

I had never been in MJ Christensen's before today and honestly, I will be going elsewhere to shop...

Immediately after my wife and I got married, we headed right over to MJ Christensen after reading already amazing reviews online. As jewelry shopping, especially wedding bands, is not something neither my wife or I are familiar nor comfortable with, we came into the store with a bit of apprehension. However, as soon as we walked through the door and was greated by Maya, we felt a bit more at ease. Once the browsing and selection process started, we knew we were working with not only knowledge individuals but also extremely patient as we weren't 100% certain on what we wanted. We looked at just about everything in the showroom and once we had a better idea, we were presented with a slew of options that fit our mental image of what we wanted. After we figured that out, they worked with us to find the best possible price while also meeting our needs. When it was all said and done, we had a custom wedding band on order and just less than the time they said it would take, we got a very polite and personal phone call saying that our "beautiful ring" was ready for us.
