Bak A Yaad Cuisine — Restaurant in Lauderdale Lakes

We took a chance and ordered 4 meals by Uber eats to try Bak a Yaad. I am picky with my restaurants and stick to our regular Island spots. I read the reviews and decided to give it a chance. The food was delicious and plentiful, We ordered a large Jerk chicken and large fried chicken with rice and peas and vegetables . The flavor was delicious, not too spicy on jerk. The fried was great. The curry chicken was tender and nuff flavor, not spicy. The stew chicken had a great color. We will definitely order again. The chef does amazing dishes. Keep it up!

We ordered curry goat and it was so tender and delicious with white rice and vegetable. The goat was seasoned perfectly with the right amount of spice. We also had to order the tender oxtail with rice and peas again. This was an excellent dinner especially with ice cold red stripes to celebrate 🇯🇲 independence.

THANK YOU : ) I have never had a bad meal from here. Whether its a lunch special or dinner, the food is always hot and fresh. THEY HAVE COUSCOUS AND CALLALLOO RICE!!!!!!! : ) I had given up on Jamaican food because all of these places/restaurants (even the chain ones) pop up and the staff they have working for them have the worst attitudes. Here, you are entering to calm vibes/music or a pleasant greeting. They don't mind you asking questions about the food YOU are purchasing, will let you taste something if you have never tried it (DONT BE A JERK AND ASK TO SAMPLE SOMETHING YOUVE HAD, UGGGHH) and they don't mind explaining what's on the menu. I like the atmosphere of this place, but I ordered on doordash for pickup so I didn’t sit in. EDIT: My review on the food: not good, ended up feeling super nauseous after the fact. I would not eat here again or recommend it to anyone to try. Also did not taste authentic. Rice and peas didn’t taste like they had any coconut milk or thyme.
