I have stayed at this property quite a few times in the past and this might be my last one. On December 25 I made a last minute reservation. A king size room type and an early check-in (extra $50 fee) was confirmed. I arrived at the hotel at 5 am. As I approached the front desk the Agent was on her cell phone. I think I might have interrupted something as she addressed me with a cold manner . There were greetings and /or pleasantries during our interaction. She made me feel like I was bothering her. The hotel holds a $75 deposit for incidentals which normally I prefer separated from room charges. I kindly asked her to split in two credit cards. She said that she would have to call support to have charges posted separately. While on the phone I could hear that she kept having to repeat herself. It seemed like the person on support didn’t understand or knew how to process the split charges. To make things easier (as I was hoping for quick check-in) I told her not to worry and to use just one card. She then said too late, that she couldn’t do it since she was already speaking to support. She also told me that she had told me from the beginning it was as not that easy. After hearing that comment with the harsh tone she said it, I felt like a child being reprehended by the school teacher. I have stayed in many La Quinta properties before and my request has never an issue. It took over ten minutes for transaction to be processed. the I was then advised rooms with king size beds were not available. I didn’t understand why since the reservation agent called to confirm the early check in and room type. She then changed my room type and a higher rate was applied. The difference in prices was not significant; however, I thought that I should had been informed. It was not until later when I reviewed my receipt that room rate was not honored. Just before I noon I by the front desk and asked the the new person at the desk if I could change my room and tried to explain the reason behind. I was going to show him my confirmation email and he told me with a mean tone that he didn't need to see that and to put it away. He needed to go by the reservation on the system. He then told me that I could make my request at 3:00 pm upon checking time. He told me the $10 fee would be waived. Now I’m thinking, the room rate was not honored after confirmation but increased. But as a courtesy whatever fee he was talking about would be waived. Is he for real? He was obviously confused as he didn’t let me explained and had not interest in what I have to say. II decided I was not going to bother with this and wasting time and energy.
Front Desk Team Members in most cases are the first ones to interact with hotel guests. It is important to keep in mind that there is only one opportunity to make a positive first impression. Practice and use good customer service skills at when dealing with your guests.Use your skills to impress and not for the opposite. In my opinion lacking of customer service skills can negatively impact the well of the franchise. I don’t believe that my request was something out of the ordinary. Part of providing good service include treating people with respect, that is a must. I sincerely hope that La Quinta use customer’s feedback to look into servicing opportunities when needed. Read moreTERRIBLE!!!!!!! Do not stay here. This hotel isn't what it use to be. It's a private owner now. Franchise owner. I had guest staying here for 2 nights and it turned out being the worst experience I had ever encountered. I'm so embarrassed to have recommended this place. First night 1 in the morning, water starts pouring down in the bathroom on the 2 floor. It wasn't raining outside. Its took hours and about 2 phone calls to have them change rooms. Got to the 2nd room. Went to sleep. Woke up 4 in the morning. Bathroom has urine stains in the toilet seat. Bathtub was filthy. Towels smelled like mens cologne. We complain about it nothing done. Left when they got back in the afternoon ,they noticed that only the towels was replaced. Called front desk about 3 times. Finally I showed up to speak to a manager. Spoke to a Jaden, a weekend front desk employee. He told me at first that he couldn't do nothing because housekeeping left for the day. I told him, why can't you do it. He said he can't. It couldn't be that someone had to always be in the front desk because threw out the stay, there would be no one at the front desk at all. After talking with him he kept on saying that I was hostile. Now I know what that means but I was about 10 feet from him and speaking with a couple of decibels higher than normal but not screaming or being disrespectful. I told him ,I'm not hostile, I'm upset because I have out of town guests that I recommend this hotel too. He threw me out of the hotel for complaining. I told him I was going to call the police. After the police got there and I explained what happened, they went inside to speak to him. After 10 minutes I was allowed to enter the hotel because he knows he was wrong. His attitude totally changed. He was smiling with me and trying to joke around with me. Also I forgot to mention, there are family that live there on month to month renting rooms. There was one particular family that had about 4 large dogs and there children where playing in the hallway all night long. Well after I came back in the hotel, he had got my guest a 3 room to stay. Finally the next morning they left at 6 in the morning. Thank God !!! I wanted them to fully refund the stay cause it was incidents after incidents back to back for the entire say. It was just a stay to sleep. No ammedadies where used, not that they have any anyway. All picks on website are old. About 10 years old when it was a nice hotel. Hope you read everything I typed and I hope it helps. Stay away from this place, please. You'll regret it if you don't. Just look at the pics I posted. Read moreI am so happy tonight is my last night. I would NEVER come back here. some issues I encountered during my recent stay at your hotel. Upon arriving in my room, I noticed that there was only one washcloth provided, which was quite inconvenient. When I requested additional washcloths, I was informed that there were none available.
Furthermore, I was disappointed to discover that the ironing board in my room was in a rather rustic condition. It did not meet the standards I was expecting. Additionally, the toilet in my room was not functioning properly and would not flush.
On December 24th, I requested housekeeping services for my room starting from 8 am, as I would be away for the day. However, when I returned at 6:20 pm, there had been no housekeeping done. When I approached the front desk to inquire about this, the lady informed me that housekeeping had already left for the day.
To make matters worse, when I returned to my room and tried to take a nap, I was shocked to find roaches crawling on the walls. I have taken pictures and videos to document this unpleasant experience.
I must say that based on these unfortunate incidents, I cannot recommend your hotel to anyone. It is disheartening that the lady at the front desk did not even offer an apology or show any concern regarding these issues. She simply asked for the room number to send housekeeping, which left me feeling quite disappointed..
On August 25th, I discovered yet another instance of cockroaches in my room. Despite promptly reporting this issue to the front desk, it seems that no action was taken or concern shown. This lack of attention to a serious problem is highly disappointing.
Furthermore, I requested a late check-out for August 26th at 4pm. However, at 11am, the housekeeping staff repeatedly knocked on my door, disregarding my prior arrangement. I had to clarify my late check-out request three times before finally going to the front desk to resolve the issue. The lady at the front desk confirmed that I indeed had a 4pm check-out, which I already paid for the previous night. By this point, I was feeling quite frustrated and irritable.
Not only did the presence of cockroaches and constantly knocking on the door disrupt my sleep, but it also marred what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation. I was looking forward to a pleasant and comfortable stay at your establishment, but unfortunately, this was far from the reality I experienced.
I kindly request that you take this matter seriously and address the issues I have raised. I believe it is crucial to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and customer service to ensure a positive experience for all guests.
