I arrived December 23rd. I purchased a surge protector for the camper and it’s a good thing I did. The surge protector has been shutting down power at least 10 times a day for a low voltage condition. The S/P has a digital readout on it so I can look to see what the incoming voltage is.. 98 volts had been the lowest so far. So I contacted the manager - Dee who said that the mechanic would come over. 2 days later I called again and wanted to get this fixed before the weekend. Finally the mechanic came by - I explained the voltage drop - he stated he thought he knew what it was and left. A day or so later I saw Dee and asked her about the power issues. She said she had to put in a work order for an electrician to come by.! Well that was just to shut me up. Cuz nobody came by. Well I finally called the power company days later. They checked everything out and said that there is a problem with the Neutral. The power company said it’s the parks wiring and it in violation of code. The next day I got a phone call from Dee asking why I called the power company, and I relayed the information to her. I also told her that I called because she was doing nothing about it, so I did. So nothing at all has been done to correct the problem. Dee offers me another site but I’m leaving in 4 days and have no desire to move. She offers me a refund for 4 days if I left now. I’ve been here 68 days and dealing with power problems and a sewer line that keeps plugging up when I dump my tanks. I have talked to other folks in the park about the power and they have had the same issues. I’m assuming that part of the park has old wiring that has not been updated. Also the power company said that some of the meters on the power poles were not their meters. So I’m also assuming that they were installed by who knows who and not properly calibrated..! CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS HERE.! BEWARE. And make sure you have a surge protector..! I do NOT...
Read moreNot much good to say. Small cramped campground. We were stuck on a strip of blacktop "overnight pull-throughs" that were barely wide enough with slides out. We were there more than a week. Our door looked directly into our neighbor's dinette window about 2 feet away. Yes, land in Ft Lauderdale is expensive and they were maximizing the number of RVs they could accommodate. ||One bright spot: Alejandro, maintenance man, brought us a picnic table after I asked for one at the front desk.||Unusual laundry room. You have to either buy a card from a machine and load money on it (card costs $5), or download an app and load money with your credit card. Make sure you put enough money on it the first time, because to add more money, the minimum is $10. I have applied for my refund, so hopefully that will work. The office staff knows nothing about this payment system, so don't bother asking them for help. Another laundry frustration: the laundry was busy and people did not come back when their washers or dryers were done. I waited over 45 minutes for someone to come empty one dryer. Whenever she finally came, I tried to express my frustration to her, all she said was "no English". I finally emptied another dryer after another 30 minutes. And had to wait more for another dryer. Rude residents.||Not my...
Read moreAvoid at all costs!!! DO NOT LEAVE YOUR RV HERE and expect it to be safe. We payed our deposit to store our RV there for a few months while we flew back home.
We were told we would have a spot in the fenced in area (look on a map the fenced area is very clear) and when we arrived, our spot was double booked. They told us they could park it an available spot and move it to the secure spot. Of course, the RV wasn't moved for a month and a half and the bikes were stolen.
Our bikes which were attached to the front with a very good lock, would not have been easy to pry open and would have taken a decent effort. The manager Dee told me that they have cameras however at night they are of no use as there is a glare....great surveillance. She also informed us that this service road is a frequent short cut for people not staying at that park to go through.
When we returned to pick up the RV which had since been moved to the fenced area, we were really disappointed because if it was there in the first place, our property would have been safe.
Only thing worse than this experience was speaking to the owner who showed no signs of empathy for our loss, clearly because we had already paid the fees. She also told us that they do not offer secure storage, but they offer storage?
These people do not care for you or...
