The sign read “now open” so I went in to explore. The place looks like it’s still a little under construction but the kitchen was open and everything on the menu was ready except for curry chicken. I ordered two beef patties and they were delicious. I don’t think they are home made on site inasmuch as they have the identical taste and texture of patties I have had in many places - BUT they have salt fish patties, so an extra star for that option. The lady behind the counter was super helpful and pleasant and I’ll be glad to come again and try more things here. Come and get your Caribbean cuisine- everything is new at this new restaurant.

Second time at this place. Food is good! the oxtails were good. Platter comes with plantains which is a plus because not every place includes them. Patty and coco bread were good! Added jerk chicken this time and could order 2, 4, or 6 pieces so that was a plus since I was already being greedy! I only ordered two cuz I wanted to see what they were hitting for ! It was a little dry. Finally they have good desserts! Last time I got rum cake this time I got cheese cake. I’m visiting various Caribbean places around the city in search of the best oxtails so they get an 8 out of 10!

Service was definitely 5 stars nice and friendly. Atmosphere was definitely nice clean and smelled wonderful. The prices of the food does not do this place justice at all. $20 for a plate of jerk chicken and portions are extremely small. See pic below. 2 small legs and not even a half of a thigh. Beef patties were decent but hard to mess up on mango drink was okay. Not worth $35+ for the meal. I suggest either lower prices or give bigger portions. At least a little extra rice and pies.

The worst customer services…. I arrived happy I was greeted by and elder women who works there who was nice. She took my order. I ordered the jerk chick with just rice & peas with a chicken patty . They took forever to make it. Another lady comes out and says hi can to take your order and I stated to her the lady in the back already took my order.. she goes I know you need to pay.. I said oh well you said can I place your order.. so she was rude off the jump. She goes to say did I order jerk check, rice & peas with plantains and vegetables. I said no I did not order that and told her what I ordered. So I told her and then I said and my chicken patty please and she cuts me off and says your name. She then goes to the lady that took my first order and repeated what I said then tends to ask me again if I just want rice & peas. At this point I’m like ok I just want what I ordered. So there’s another customer who went after me caucasian male paid for his order. So as they are fixing my order the other customer gets his food. The Second Lady that’s giving me the attitude for some reason because they messed up my food. I was calm about my response to her. She then calls the guy by his name then takes his food to him Politely and says “thank you sir have a nice day”. My food comes out she throws it on the counter and says here.. I said excuse me I get here but the white man gets have a good day.. and also you forgot my chicken patty.. and then takes a deep breath to go get it’s how rude of you to treat me that way.. your mad at me because you came out and messed up my food.. so I snatch the chicken patty and left out.. said I would never come back there and I’m not.. the chicken is ok and dry.. the jerk sauce tastes like spicy bbq sauce and the rice and peas no flavor and dry.. the only thing that was good was the chicken patty.. the lady I am referring to she has braid heavy set and wears glasses.. just rude and to a black women.. I gave her no attitude so I can tell I was racially profiled by her.. Ridiculous it be your own. So not wasting my time there.. it has a nice set up.. but mean people and ok food. And for the food to be like this should not be...

This place is nice and clean I will say that but let’s get to the deal of my review. The food is not hitting at all only your pockets getting hit. They are overpriced for no Damm reason no lunch specials and slow. Being from my beautiful country of Jamaica I know what authentic dishes should taste like and this ain’t it. Here’s a tip : go somewhere else real authentic Jamaican dishes all have a unique taste. If you ever go to a Jamaican restaurant and your order includes and chicken pieces and they can be clearly identified as a leg , wing or breast get your money back because that is not how prepared dishes is taught back home in Jamaica. Chicken should be chopped up and seasoned so good it just melts in your mouth and no dishes no matter where they come from should be served with an attitude especially when you’re spending your money with them. I despise when I support any business and it’s just dung. Not everyone from Jamaica is chef and enough times I to support my Caribbean restaurants and be disappointed in the quality of the food and then paid a ridiculous price that does piss one off. So massive start holding’s these restaurants accountable for quality and quantity it will help them to do better. To each their own when it comes to a review but I am curious to know just how many of these reviews are from folks that say the food is good are actually West Indian and know what it should taste like cause something is not adding up. I will never return to Carib Express for any Caribbean dishes. For the review I ordered $ 19 brown stew and to have brown being in the name wasn’t even there.$7 for a mango drink and no dam mango wth. Nope never again. I called them and told them the same things I said in this review and they didn’t even care. So be warned dine here at your own risk and bring your ATM...

I had an incredibly frustrating experience with the customer service at this restaurant. I visited today and ordered a small jerk chicken entree, specifically asking the cashier if the meat was white or dark. She confirmed it was white, stating it would be breast meat. After I paid, I was told to wait 10-15 minutes. When I finally got home, six miles later, I discovered I had received three drumsticks instead.

I called the cashier, who apologized but explained they had run out of breast meat. I was baffled why she didn't inform me of this when I picked up my order. After speaking to another staff member, I learned they rarely have white meat for jerk chicken, which contradicts my inquiries. I was told there was a sign about no returns, which was not communicated to me prior.

As someone on a calorie deficit diet, this was unacceptable. I will be disputing the charge with my bank and will never return. This restaurant needs to properly train their cashiers, clearly label the types of meat on the menu, and show more respect and understanding...
