Wenny's Carryout — Restaurant in Laurel

Yuck. I was looking for a place to have lunch. I always try the mom and pop places first. I waked in and thought a greasy spoon always has good food. The counter had plexiglass hanging from the ceiling. It was so greasy I had to step to the side to see him. He asked me if I wanted a whole or a half. I opted for the whole. The menu only mentions the price of the half. When I got my order, I was surprised at the price. I wasn't expecting it to be so expensive because they only listed the half size. They do not carry diet soda. I asked for a cup of water and they said they don't give out water. He pointed to the refrigerator case for me to buy a bottle of water. I was about to tell him to keep the sub, but I cooled down. Then I got a bottle of water, I was charged the usual price. When I saw the bottle was from a bulk package from the grocery store, I once again wanted to give back my sub. They wrapped the sub nicely. When I got the sub, I had phone call I needed to make, so I ate the fries at an additional cost. The sub leaked through the wrapping and the bread became soggy. My hands were so greasy by the time I finished. The napkins they give out were the cheapest possible napkins you can get. They didn't even remove the grease. My hands were just as greasy without using the napkins. Is it they feel that giving the cheapest possible napkins and utensils going to break the bank if they splurged? Between the bulk water, cheap napkins, misleading menu board, and dirty beyond reasonably acceptable, horrible degrades the word horrible. Run...

I used to like going there, the food was not the greatest; but at least they gave me decent portions. However the quality of the food has gone down dramatically! Today I ordered their shrimp and scallops in garlic sauce, well to put it bluntly it was disgusting; it didn't taste like any other Chinese dish in garlic sauce that I have ever tasted before! They used a hot oil sauce to spicy it, however this sauce tasted old and spoiled! This order is supposed to come with jumbo shrimps and scallops, if I am paying $11.50+ tax = $12.19 I would expect to get more than 4 shrimps and they pretended to add scallops. The whole dish was mostly broccoli and a small mix of other vegetables and no it didn't taste good either. Also for your info. here are some other dishes that I gave-up ordering from Wenny's: General Tso's Chicken, Orange Chicken, anything in black-bean sauce, and of course now anything in garlic sauce! BTW I have noticed lately that they are using this old and stale hot oil sauce to spicy just about everything i.e., Kung Pao Chicken. Also on two separate occasions I have found foreign objects in my food, the first time it was a piece of wire from a scrubbing pad, the second time it was a small piece of some kind of plastic! Sadly it would seem that they are more concerned in rushing your order than in their customer's safety! The driver did not deliver the food to my room. He left it outside on the front desk, and also never told me that the food was here. He text me broken English.”on the from desk allready?!! I asked him his name several times and he refused to give it to me so now I’m stuck with a calll Mills that was outside for an hour. You have to communicate with your customers properly. This is why you have my number for you can call or text if you can’t speak the proper English let your manager Cole and tell me that the food is there. Don’t just stick my food outside instead on the from guess what the hell does that mean, I’m sick of you people in the food industry delivering bad products then you don’t want to compensate for it n they gave me fries instead of fried rice, and they were cold as well....
