I am absolutely disgusted, furious, and deeply disappointed with my recent experience at the IHOP in Laurel, MD on Baltimore Ave. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt dirty and unwelcoming. The bathrooms were filthy, the entire place smelled unpleasant, and it was clear that cleanliness was not a priority. The customer service was just as disappointing — staff were not friendly, attentive, or professional, and overall made the entire environment feel careless and uncomfortable. When I received my to-go order, the food immediately looked extremely unappetizing. The eggs were slimy, the ham was undercooked and wet, the hash browns were pale and soggy, and everything was sitting in a pool of slimy liquid in the box. The bacon and sausage tasted old and stale. Despite how bad everything looked, I tried to give it a fair chance because I didn’t want to jump to conclusions based on appearance alone. Unfortunately, everything tasted just as bad as it looked — absolutely disgusting and completely unacceptable. I even tried the biscuits and gravy separately, hoping for something redeeming, but they were extremely bland, underwhelming, and disappointing as well. The only thing remotely decent were the pancakes. I saved the eggs for last, still trying to give the meal a chance — and that’s when I discovered something horrifying: black fungus growing in the eggs. This is not just gross — it’s an extreme health hazard. No customer should ever have to find something so dangerous and unsanitary in their food. At that moment, I immediately threw the entire meal away. I completely lost my appetite and could no longer trust anything that was prepared there. I essentially paid for trash — and worse, I was put at risk of serious foodborne illness. This experience was absolutely unacceptable on every level — from the atmosphere, to the service, to the food quality, and most importantly, to basic food safety. I expect a full resolution for the money I wasted and for the complete disregard of my health and safety. If this situation is not addressed appropriately, I will escalate this to IHOP corporate as well as local health authorities. Serving spoiled food with visible mold and maintaining such unsanitary conditions is not just poor service — it’s a public health violation. I am beyond disgusted, angry, and disappointed. I will never return to this location, and I strongly advise others to think twice before risking their health here. I would have given zero stars but that wasn’t an option.

I recently visited IHOP on my way to airport to board flight to Chicago, and it was an excellent dining experience! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the staff and seated immediately, which was great after a long drive. I ordered an omelette and pancakes, and they were absolutely perfect—cooked to perfection and served fresh. The omelette was fluffy and packed with flavor, while the pancakes were light, buttery, and came with a variety of syrups to choose from. Both were honestly some of the best I’ve had in a while. The coffee was another highlight! The endless refills kept coming, and it was always hot and fresh, which is exactly what I needed to stay energized for the road. The restaurant was clean, the service was attentive and friendly, and the overall atmosphere was very welcoming. I’ll definitely stop by this location again the next time I’m passing through. Highly recommend it for anyone traveling or just looking for a great breakfast or brunch spot!

First time at that location! It's was crowded and the parking lot very full. You have to park on the Popeyes side for more spot. We waited 15min from the original 20 min waiting time. The food was of and our server Shakeena was not so good. We saw her 2 time and I was so not too happy and wanted to give a 2 stars. But We had a better experience because the manager JW brought our food, came back to check on us, the kids wanted something different, he went back to the kitchen and brought it back. He took care of us the way it's suppose to be. Before we left I notice that he was bringing food to other customers. This what I called customer service. I would have gave a 5 stars if we had better service from our server.

I had a horrible experience at this IHOP with my family today. I left feeling very concerned with the lack of service I rec'd today - when I eat out, I expect much better, especially from the wait staff. Our visit started off decently. We were seated within 5 minutes of arriving to the restaurant (great!) but everything was downhill from there. We were seated at our table for at least 25 mins. before our waiter, Taiwo, even came over to introduce himself to us and get our orders started. We finally placed our order, but our waiter walked away before he took everyone's order! Then, instead of receiving our drinks right away, we didn't get them until our food arrived 15-20 minutes later. When the waiter brought our food to the table, instead of placing each plate and cup in front of each person seated at the table, Taiwo stood at the head of our table and made everyone reach for their food and drinks. While we ate our food, Taiwo never checked in to see how we were doing, if we needed something, we had to flag him over to get what we wanted. At the end of our meal, instead of clearing our table properly, Taiwoo, again, stood at the head of the table and asked us to pass our plates to him! The culminating factor was that our waiter acknowledged the service was less than to be desired, but did not attempt in any way to improve our experience. About 80% of this IHOP experience was completely unbelievable and unacceptable. It will be quite awhile before I even CONSIDER coming to this...

Seated service at this location has always been satisfactory. Today I tried take out which has always been unsatisfactory but I’m a giver of chances and have understanding. However, when I came in and ordered my food, which was taken promptly and accurately I was pleasantly surprised and hopeful. I left briefly and returned to pick up my order..the first thing that concerned me was when the take out attendant asked me if my eggs were over easy and I replied no..scrambled..so she quickly apologized and returned to the back and exchanged my order. Mind you that my eggs should have been scrambled because I had ordered a steak omelette. When she returned I made sure to check my order because of the mishap. On top of my omelette were steak pieces that were shredded so I assumed that was their way of easily identify ingredients. When I got home and opened up my omelette it was full of everything..ham, pork sausage, green peppers..everything except for steak pieces. I immediately called the restaurant and the line was busy (which is the whole reason why I had to go in to order to begin with), and I was highly disappointed that there was no other way to contact the store in regards to this matter. Luckily I am not allergic nor have religious restrictions against pork but it was a personal choice to not eat pork today and Bam..there it is in my food that I paid for. I am highly dissatisfied with the service today and will be seeking some type of...
