Ohana Hawaiian BBQ — Restaurant in Lawndale

!!! DO NOT GO HERE !!! THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF

Ordered the kalua and cabbage pork plate for 15 bucks. The food comes out and I open the lid and red flags go off. The way this is served in the islands and all over LA is 2 scoops of rice, a scoop of macaroni salad, and a pile of pork and cabbage.

What I received broke down as follows:

10% - scoop of macaroni salad, which was good 70% - rice covering the entire remaining space of the take out container 10% - cabbage sprinkled over the rice 10% - kalua pork sprinkled over the rice (maybe 2 oz of pork)

I began to eat it without expecting the huge amount of rice under the thin layer of pork and cabbage, but once I figured it out I let them know and the kid up front just held his head down and apologized like it...

So the brother at the front counter, his name is Joel and he was extremely awesome and very helpful and helping me pick out what I wanted and his customer service was awesome. I really appreciated his care of detail and he made me feel just at home restaurant is very clean very Ohana and very well-maintained. They had a lot of good selection of meats, sides and drinks as well and I got a half-and-half, pineapple, chicken and lava Katsu chicken with Mac and veggies. It tastes so freaking good. It was awesome and they give you a lot of options on sauces as well but yeah, I recommend this place if you want real good authentic Hawaiian food so yeah it was a 10 out of 10 and I definitely recommend this location without a doubt,...

The food is amazing and our favorite and 90% of the staff is rad. There’s a younger girl that works there that refuses to make the bobba drink that they advertise. They’re either out or the machine is broke, but ONLY when she’s working. The taller young guy always makes it hands down and with a great attitude. I always thought she was lying but today I just saw the young guy over hear me try to order one so he attempted to make one and she stopped him dead in his tracks and gave him that look.
