McDonald's — Restaurant in Lawrence

I used to boast (not joking) about how amazing the service was at this, my favorite McDonald's. Things aren't that way anymore. I ordered a mobile order today (paid for on the app) and ended up leaving the line because of the wait. You can spend a lot of time at the speaker before anyone says anything. So, I left and didn't get the food I already paid for (and cannot get a refund for).

UPDATE: I was refunded for the loss in October, but today had a similar experience. A guy in front of me in the drive through never got anyone's attention on the microphone, so he just drove off without ordering. I waited long enough to decide I needed to download the Wendy's app, and did just that. They are a block away, so why not look for alternatives? Dexter has worked at this location for over 30 years. Someone needs to sit down with him and get his input on what has changed in this store after the change of ownership, as it's not what it was before.

EDIT: 1/31/24 - Similar experience. They need more people working here. They can't keep up.

EDIT: 2/7/24 - Ordered ONLINE at 7:37am. Arrived in the drive through 10 minutes later and then waited another 10 minutes to get to the window (cars were getting out of line due to how slow it was). Then, there was confusion about my order (even though it was placed online and I had told them my online code). TWICE I was given the wrong order from the woman at the window, before I finally got mine at 7:57am. I wish this store was still being ran by the original owners. I ran a restaurant years ago with mostly teenagers and it was better than this is with all adults. Not impressed and I wish there were better...

"Hey, remember that homeless guy you tried to have police pickup for TRESPASSING on a PUBLIC sidewalk (confirmed by the officer, btw) flying a sign a few days so he could EAT & afford hot coffee with the 99¢ in-app daily coffee promo? The same one that received a free breakfast sandwich gold embossed card by corporate the just the day before? The same one other employees actually brought a hot chocolate out to without asking for it? The same one that made sure to spend at your establishment to show appreciation & patronage? Yeah, the ' #BeKind ' sign guy?"

3 college degrees, 2 ordinations, 1 empty stomach, & 0 tolerance for heartlessness worth of "🤬 you."

The officer told me you trespassed me from your store. The next homeless person, and there ALWAYS is going to be one, I hope is a drunken reprobate that scares off your customer base. Not an educated, 146 I.Q., degree holding father of a multiple-relapse cancer survivor with suicidal ideations trying to eat as opposed to getting their next "fix." Some of US do run on calories as opposed to drugs.

Btw, #HeartlessLivesDontMatter - I'm the OP. When next I have time & ability to do so, your store is on that list as well.

To Google Maps & Reviews team: Please post as stated. I confirmed with law enforcement I was doing nothing illegal. The manager is probably just disappointed I wasn't arrested for a warrant or some such. I. Have. None. "And won't."

I'm NOT...

So I woke up late after staying up playing COD MW with my friend who stayed the night, we were grinding out all our missions before we went to bed and we decided we would go to McDonald’s all the way on the other side of town because my girlfriend had just gotten a job there so we decided we would go see her. So I woke up at 11:20 changed and headed out to my car with my friend. We hook up to my Bluetooth aux to play my music and we pull out and leave my house. I speed across Lawrence blasting old Kendrick Lamar music excited to see my girl friend. After 15 minutes of listening to Kendrick Lamar we finally get to McyDs we pull up and I hop out with my friend, we casually walk in and I don’t see her working the cash register, I look around but I can’t find her. I didn’t know where she was I had just talked to her over snapchat and she was here, anyways we order food and while we are ordering my girlfriends friend she’s me and she says she is working the window. I tell her to go get her. A couple minutes pass and nothing, she comes back and says she won’t come I told her to tell her I’m here. A couple more minutes and nothing she comes back and says she won’t budge. So I text her knowing she prolly won’t see it but I ddi it anyways and told her to come see me or I’ll write a bad review online, and here I am writing a bad...
