Waffle House — Restaurant in Lawrence

Sat out in my car, in Cold snowing turned Rainy weather this morning at waffle house here in Lawrence. TERRIBLE Waffle house location!!!! Unfortunately I had to submit atleast 1 Star in order to publish this review here. I am sure there is people who like this waffle house, or know & Like the staff. But that was hard to find this morning. It's currently 12 minutes to 07:00 in the morning. It was full in the parking lot when I arrived almost 3 Hours ago starving. I walked in and a random guy and sheriff's deputy were just standing there talking and told me they would take orders at 5:15AM. So I waited, Guess what... NOT ONE employee was in sight until roughly 5:45AM. Nobody was inside.and to make the situation worse, guessing they decided without making notice on the doors like every other establishment that they were going back to the worst Covis-19 policies when things were really bad. And so they are NOT offering to dine in. It's to go ONLY. YET a sign on the door contradictory to that and even itself reads that you can either Dine-In ONLY, OR Order Take-out ONLY...NOT BOTH. LIKE THAT MATTERS AT ALL!!! When Two waitress's Finally walked in I asked to make an order and they said "Oh were not Open right now". I said do you offer Fine-In when You are? And was told "Oh No". And to insure I will never forget this as the worst waffle House location I've been to, WHICH I'VE VISITED WAFFLE HOUSE IN NUMEROUS OTHER CITIES AND STATES. Upon walking out I had my Laptop in my hands, and was walking back to my new Camaro I worked hard to purchase, and another Employee gets out of her Car that she had been sitting in for well over an Hour maybe longer and yelled at me accusing me of stealing it, After laughing at her she then Asked me to let her see what I was stealing and repeated I could not take whatever I had. OMG you mean to tell me that you don't even know what I am carrying but yet say It's not mine and I cannot take it. She didn't even know why she was rudely yelling at me. I don't know waffle house... I was just trying to Be a hungry paying customer this...

Went yesterday morning my daughter and I before I took her to school the server usually waits on me every time I come in not sure of her name This time I came I was very shocked another employee a male I’n training came to the table to offer drinks we told him what we wanted and The server said no I got it she then took our usual order as he was trying to learn she didn’t teach him was rude to him made me look at her like how is this place going to make it if the employees are rude like that to new employees that want to work so the man walked away and went to learn from another server she did help him he was nice about it I usually tip her very well and I still did this time I’m a server and I know better I worked for Waffle House I worked for Rodger we still have a great bond my daughter even said if Rodger was here this would not of happened cook was great food was good and hot but our server had negative energy and was not upbeat also a woman came in to get a carry out order our server went to take it the woman told her the order and our server said you want a who ??! First off speak right to this paying customer second off if your gana be negative Nancy clock out and go home let someone else handle these guests I come here every week and I won’t stop coming but next time I will let out server know only reason I did not was because my daughter was next to me she should know customers here and pay attention to things no...

I had a bad experience only because the person was new and he is still learning. I have no issue with him however .I had ordered a chocolate chip waffle with peacans however i received a peacan waffle no chocolate chips the rest of the meal consisted of 2 eggs (good) hash browns (good) 2 toast (good) but i didnt get my city ham. Guess i wouldnt be so upset if there was any meat in that order but my only meat in the meal just wasnt there and city ham is what i was set on. Again the guy was new i get it people make mistakes but litteraly when you have my luck at every place you order food they always leave something out kinda upsets you and i am a person who has anxiety so i wont be a karen in public as people scare me its just ashame always going through this everywhere and it shouldn't upset me however today is a rough day and i just needed this 1 thing to help me lift this mood especially with going in in person with my boyfriend he helped me with my panic attack because again people scare me and just talking to people that i dont know scares me. Bad day,bad timing, new hire and thats ok i use to work for fast food so i know about making mistakes being new. Maybe yall will have a better experience but i am sure i am cursed so...
