tl;dr The staff purposefully lied to me today, so I wont be back to the Lawrenceburg location.
The situation: We ordered a few combos through the drive-thru. One combo we requested a chocolate frosty instead of a drink. They say chocolate is out. They ask if vanilla is ok. We say sure. No big deal. We pay at the first window and move forward to the pick-up window. The wait isn't all that long before a staff member tells me the frosty machine is broken. He says it's more liquidy than it should be, but it's still drinkable. Knowing the person I was getting it for is particular about texture/consistency, I request just a voucher for a frosty. He says they don't do that. No big deal, let's just get the combo how it would originally come (w/a drink) and an item worth the same amount of what I paid for the frosty upcharge. That'd be fair, it wouldn't cut profits, and it wouldn't short anyone. He suggests maybe a cookie as the replacement item. I agree. We wait a minute or two more and a female employee hands me the frosty and says, "The frosty machine still works for vanilla." Had that been it, I would have been fine with the end result as sometimes these things happen, but sadly there's more. Right after I accept the frosty, I hear the guy who had told me the machine was broken say, "smooth." His comment was directed toward the female who had just handed me the frosty, so they knew what she had said was a lie, but neither of them thought it was a good idea to just go with the already agreed upon substitution. They would rather pass what I can only describe as barely more than a glass of sweetened milk through the window. Perhaps it's my mistake for not checking the frosty, but I like to think there's a mutual respect/trust between those giving the food and those receiving/paying for it. I'm still trying to figure out why they would make and export the frosty if there was already a substitute in place. Maybe if I had been unruly, and they just wanted the line to move. But that wasn't the case. It wasn't a huge deal to not have a frosty. The substitute was adequate, and all parties were satisfied, so I'm just sort of lost as to why there was a need to pass off an inferior product. In any case, I'll be avoiding this location. If they are willing to lie just to push a below average quality product out the window, I'd hate to know what they're doing to the food on a...
Read moreI am still in shock of being robbed of my change. I placed a Drive thru order and total was $24.56. When I got to the window, I handed the cashier a $20 gift card and a $5 bill and asked her to please use the gift card first and let me know if it wasn't a full $20 as I would owe more. She took both and closed the transaction then proceeded to text on her cell phone. I was waiting on my change and she finally looked up at me and asked if I needed something. I told her "my change". She said the computer didn't tell her she owed me change. I told her the total was only $24.56 and I handed her $25. She looked at the computer again and got very frustrated and threw her arms up in the air over and over screaming "I don't know, I don't know, I don't know". I told her it's just basic math-she just owes me 44 cents if the gift card was the full $20. She then hollared at me "I'll get my manager if you want to keep being rude." I told her to please do and I wasn't being rude. I was just waiting on my change. She told me again she doesn't owe me any because the computer says she doesn't. Another employee came over, looked at the cash register and told me again--it doesn't say you are owed change. I asked him-does she dispute that she was given a $5 bill and a $20 gift card? He confirmed that that is what they were given, but the register didn't acknowledge any change. And I asked again---so $25 minus $24.56 is 44 cents change. It's not worth the argument at this point, but I don't appreciate being called rude for asking for change due me. Regardless of whether it was 44 cents or $44--it's theft. And for the privilege of being robbed, I was the one called rude. Had to just accept it and leave as no resolution was going to be reached. Very disappointing that people can't even explain a situation or use common sense and have to blame someone else for their own lack of understanding. It's clear that the girl applied the cash first then the card and left the 44 cents on the gift card then threw it out, and she couldn't even explain that to me or the other employee. I'm just glad it wasn't more $$ just...
Read moreThe 2 night shift girls that were working tonight really need to learn customer service. The fist girl gave me my drinks and 1 bag of food and said "have a good night" and shut the window. Well I sat there because I also ordered a kids meal and hadn't gotten it, the second girl that was up there looked at me twice and continued to do what she was doing and I sat there for a good 3 minutes before they opened the window back up to ask what I needed. I said I also had a kids meal and didn't get it and o asked if i could get a cup of ice since there was barley any in my cup. She told the first girl she needed the kids meal on the counter grabbed it and handed it to me and then closed the window to get the cup of ice. The first girl that originally handed me my drinks comes back to the window leans down and says "yes ma'am" as if annoyed that I'm still there and I simply say "she's making me a cup of ice" and wait for the other girl to get the ice for me. Overall they just need ro learn customer service. I've been in the food industry for over 6 years and rarely ever complain but 1. She didn't even try to make sure I had all of my order and 2. She didn't make sure I had everything I needed which is something I've always been taught to ask even through a drive through you should still make sure the customer has all the condiments or extras that...
