I had the fish and chips. The cod was dripping with grease. The fish just sat in a puddle of grease on the plate. There is a reason that fish and chips are served on paper or in such a way that the grease can drain away or be absorbed to prevent an oil-soaked fish coating. The cod needed some seasoning, at least some salt sprinkled on the fish before dipping it into the batter. Even if the batter has seasoning, the cod needs a touch of salt.

My chips (fries) were limp and soggy, not crisp like they're supposed to be. The slaw was bland. Though it was lightly dressed, it lacked flavor and needed some acid. Especially since the fish was so greasy. I was looking for some acid like vinegar or lemon to get some relief from the fat. All I could taste was cabbage. My slaw had several pieces of sliced cabbage core, not appealing at all.

Honestly, the best thing on my plate was the tartar sauce. That stuff should be bottled and sold. The place was not busy since we were there around 3 pm, but the service was very slow and we waited about 40 minutes for our food to arrive. Our Dr. Pepper was flat. It was like a room-temperature soda was poured over ice. I mentioned that to our server and she confirmed that the soda machine was down and they were using canned sodas. I asked her if the cans were chilled and she said they were at room temperature. Not the kind of experience that would make me want to come back. This was my first visit to this establishment. I had high expectations, based on what others were saying. So, yes, I was...

I'm saying this as someone with over 20 years working in the hospitality industry (executive chef ,chef ,manager ,etc) This experience was so bad ,I don't even know where to begin The front entry and surrounding parking lot area was nasty & dirty, the bathrooms weren't much better . Service was sub par at best She never once did a check back The only time that she stopped by the table is when I finally flagged her down after about 8- 10 minutes of trying to get her attention Never got offered a single refill on my tea I ordered a chicken sandwich The slaw is supposed to be a pickle slaw Maybe it walked by a pickle and picked up the pickle aroma Absolutely no pickle tang ,taste ,texture etc And I have ZERO CLUE how you burn the inside breast portion of a chicken patty. It wasn't missing the batter where the burned/charred area is in the picture. The burnt part of the chicken was exposed after I took the batter off The entire batter was burnt beyond being able to eat it ,due to the bitterness The chicken itself was extremely dry The sweet potato fries were burnt as well and colder than a Alaskan winter Which means either the oil is dirty or they burned them as well ,then ended up letting them sit until they got cold . Whoever was working on the kitchen line, expo ,BOH or FOH duty that night were completely off their game. How does a dish that is that badly made & slopped together and obviously not acceptable to serve ANY GUEST ,manage to make it past that many workers without someone noticing it before it made it...

Last night I ordered a Cheddar Bacon Burger, Avocado Fries, and a Pizza w/ Ham and Sausage for takeout. I'm going to name this review "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" because that basically describes my order.

The Good: The Cheddar Bacon Burger was phenomenal! I've had a few of their burgers before and I've never been disappointed. They definitely do burgers right so no complaints about that. I ordered sweet potato fries with it and they were a little soggy but still ok.

The Bad: They messed up my order so instead of getting the Avocado Fries I ordered they gave me the Turkey Bacon Guacamole Melt. It was ok, but it isn't what I wanted or ordered.

The Ugly: I am not exaggerating when I say that the Ham and Sausage Pizza was the worst pizza I've had in Lawton since moving here in 2020. Where's the sauce? I swear they just dyed part of the dough red. Sausage? Yeah, I guess all 4 of them were ok. Ham? You mean those little Tic-Tac sized slices of meat were ham? And there was less ham than sausage. I was EXTREMELY disappointed in this alleged pizza. I 100% would rather have had a cheap Little Caesar's pizza over this any day, and I'd save about $8 too. In fact, I could get 2x pizzas from Little Caesar's and not only would I save money but more importantly it'd taste way better too.

Last complaint: They also forgot to include my Root Beer soda.

All in all I was very disappointed with this order. If it wasn't for the storm last night I would've brought it all back and asked...

Update! August 2024, it has been 3 yrz since the last time my ohana (family) and I had dined here. We were checking in the kidz for this school, yr 2024~2025. We all wanted something kine of light for lunch, some soup and sandwiches. Of course, Z Hubby and Xzavier had to have the chicken fried steak w/ mashed potatoes n veggies. So we decided since we were in the area to give Bricktown Brewery a lil' visit. The food was delicious, the waiter was nice and welcoming. We had a nice family lunch before heading over to the Douglas School nearby. Update! Last visit end of Nov. 2024 had to try the new avocado fries appetizer and for my entrée the new chicken pot pie and paired it w/ a sunset beach signature cocktail. Z Hubby ordered the meatloaf (was very delicious) w/ a perfect margarita. Our 3 young adult kids and the two other guests we brought to join us for dinner had everything from chicken fried chicken plate w/ choice of sides, teriyaki chicken sandwich w/ a cup of tomato soup, fish and chips plate and our oldest Xzavier got his chicken fried steak w/ his two choices of sides. Our waiter this visit, Robert, was awesome and definitely appreciated for his great attitude, smile, and incredible customer service.
