Best Greek Broiler and Grill — Restaurant in Layton

Food was great but that will probably be our last time dining here. They offer coupons on restaurant.com and it does not say anything about any restrictions when we bought our coupon. When I showed it to the man working there he told me they don't take coupons on weekends but that he would work with us this time. My husband was looking at their lunch special sign but I reminded him that the last time we came in a different man told us (on the same day of the week) when we tried to order the special that they don't offer that anymore (which we found weird because they should have just taken the sign down if they didn't offer it anymore), so we ordered something from the main menu but then later when we were eating other people came in and ordered the special without an issue, so that was frustrating that they seem to just change things whenever it suits them. After ordering and getting the total I was floored by the prices since they don't have them listed on the pictures! Then the man tells me he will only give me $5 off instead of the $10 that my coupon was for. Yes I understand that he only told me he would work with us on the coupon and not that he would give us the same amount off but he seemed like he was deliberately trying to be unclear to get our business. It definitely felt like a bait and switch. When I explained that this coupon never said anywhere on it that it couldn't be used on weekends he just kept justifying why he wouldn't accept the full amount and said they have coupons advertised through several other places and those other ones say they can't be used on weekends. Ummm...okay but this one does not so you should be true to your word and allow me to use the coupon and in the meantime fix it with the company instead of penalizing me and losing future business. I told him had I known that I wouldn't be able to use the coupon I bought, we would have likely gone somewhere else. I was at a car wash next to a tiny Greek restaurant for about an hour washing and waxing my truck. When I drove in a young man and an older man were sitting behind the restaurant the young man was standing next to the older man who looked like he was crying, he looked so incredibly sad, it stuck in my mind as I washed my truck. I noticed no one came thru the drive thru, it's Friday night they should have at least one customer, they didn't. As I left the car wash I stopped to talk to them. The older man said he was struggling, didn't know what he was going to do Covid had destroyed his business. He was so sad, I started crying and said give me your biggest and best plate of Greek food. He smiled, stood up and said he'd make me a good meal. I waited at the drive thru widow and talked to the young man, he had just graduated High School, was going to go to college and study business finace, to help his Uncle, it was his Uncle's restaurant. He was so polite, good-looking, he still had the optimism of youth, he smiled a lot, and reminded me of how wonderful life was when I was 18. The food was ready, huge order, it smelled so wonderful as I put it on the passenger seat. I gave him the money, told him to keep the rest of it. I wish I could save the world, I try to help and it's me who ends up getting saved, the world is a better place when we love each other. I'm mixed on what to rate it, the food was extremel good, but watching the cook slice two peices of meet of throwing in an incredibly dirty bin, then picking two the three and four small piece out of the bottom of the grease catched made me vomit, because I have NO IDEA how long they sat in the drippings.. I said I could not eat that and wanted my money back, but a very nice guy came out and explained it's olice oil and is fine he was super nice with my ooommmgg moment, ( my husband is a cheif and I'm certain he'd never allow that-- but who knows I don't cook....) HOWEVER the food was AMAZING, not gonna lie, the rice may or may not have neen reheated but due to it's.. yeah I'd say it was, but I don't mind cause it taisted amazing, this was a 1 o clock on a Tuesday..
