Cutler's Cookies & Sandwiches — Restaurant in Layton

Pre-ordered my food to ensure my order was on time to pick up. "When do you want to pick it up?" "When will it be ready?" "1:05." 35 minutes to make lunch. Seemed a bit excessive. I get there at 1:00. Food was not ready. Received food 20 minutes later. When I asked about it, the rude girl said "it pays to be nice." I was courteous until my scheduled order was late. 55 minutes for a few wet sandwiches at a NON-busy time. 6 people in the back horsing around and not preparing food. No excuses. Super disappointed. Not worth it.

RESPONSE: Let me respond to your breakdown and "examine the facts" This was my experience. It is impressive that you are able to state that your staff is very efficient and good at their jobs - then why wasn't the order complete at 1:05 as it should be....or even more efficiently at 1:00 when I arrived early?

Your pretty sophisticated cash register system was able to determine my order, during your busiest time, without my providing a order number or receipt? On top of this it was not myself or anyone I am currently related to that paid for the order. I am very impressed with this system and the fact you could tell which order was mine with the details provided. I appreciate the fact you owned up to being late but it was more than 20 minutes.

The "rude girl" being a customer favorite was not the issue. She was not "beyond polite" and DID NOT "go out of her way to help" THIS customer have the best possible experience. The brunt of my "courtesy" consisted of my asking "why it wasn't ready" after a 35 minute time period to do so (with a smile)? Paying to be nice, again, isn't the issue. Follow through, honesty, and punctuality is.

Over a question, you congratulate and "commended" her "for her restraint." I would have hated to full on state that this was ridiculous that the food was late and requiring me to stand in the line twice to pay was poorly orchestrated. I may have had to deal with something far worse as her response if that is your policy.

I understand the difference. Again, if it was a pay, pickup, and leave situation, I would not have placed this review at all. And that is a great thing that you have people that work hard and enjoy their job, preparing food.

The "majority" was not my experience. Clearly, everyone has their own. This was a poor experience for me and will continue to be. I appreciate that you were able to take the time to respond to...

Best Home Made Freshly made throughout the day! If you haven't tried the Chicken Salad Sandwich you are just not doing something right. Did I mention that they have the BEST COOKIES in the West???🎉🤩 They really are! They even sell their cookie dough for those who like the dough itself? 😉 Ya just can't wait to try them before they are baked unless... You run to Cutler's today and try them for yourself... And share some with a friend like me. That is how I got hooked on Cutler's Soup and Sandwich... And BEST COOKIES Shop. It was a really sweet friend who brought me ones of the best sugar cookies on a rainy feeling down day which really turned my life into Sunshine everytime she came by. I'm so thankful that she introduced me to the Cutler's. I'm sure we must be friends by now. They have the best family style employees that will go the extra mile to make sure you get your order with a smile and if you are lucky like me... They even helped me out to my car with my cookies and dinner on the go. Thank you Sariah!💖😎😀 I'm truly being serious though. Go check them out and if you already know them... Awesome, Awesome, Awesomely Amazing Succulent, Define Homeaide, Delicious Food and the GREATEST Cookies anywhere!!💝😅🤗 This place is amazing with Soups, Sandwiches, Salads, Bread, Croissants and all served by the kindest people ever. I want to tell Sariah thank you for her mind, patient and very sweet patience with me in ordering. It is just sick a hard decision to make! Thank you so much!💝 You were awesome to help and serve me. Your boss should give you a big raise for taking care of the customers as if they were your best friends and that you owned your job and loved it. By the way, I've never met Sariah prior to today so this review is strictly because she really does deserve the praise! 💖💝😅 If you haven't been to Cutler's, you are really missing out on some great, amazing food. If you've been before, you should go back in soon and get some extra delicious treat and lunch or dinner with your friends or family. They are just too nicest people with great, good ole g fashion homeaide good that is just awesome.
