Pizza Hut used to be my favorite place to go to get pizza. But I've noticed through the years that that great taste that I used to love has been slowly disappearing. Last night I ordered a large cheese pizza with no extra toppings on the Pizza Hut app on my phone. I wanted it delivered to my home, but when I attempted to check out on the app, I got a message that I would either have to go pick up the pizza myself or add something else to my order. Since when can't you just order a large pizza to be delivered to your home? So I had to add something else to my order that I didn't really want, just so I could get a pizza. So I added an order of the mini cinnamon rolls.
The order came exactly when I was told it would, so that was not a problem. When I opened the pizza box, the pizza looked like what I expected so the presentation was good. But when I took the first bite, all I tasted was dough and cheese. I could not detect any marinara sauce on it at all. So I took another bite, and again, I could not taste any sauce. I took a close look at the slice of pizza, and I could see just a faint color of sauce--it was practically nonexistent. No wonder I could not taste any marinara sauce! I was not at all happy, because Pizza Hut has been around long enough to know that the taste of the sauce is what makes a cheese pizza great!
I used to take my then small children to a Pizza Hut outside of Wichita, KS, in the late 1970's--early 1980's. We used to order cheese pizzas mostly, with an occasional Supreme for something different. Those pizzas were delicious! But the pizza I had last night from this particular Pizza Hut in League City, TX, tasted nowhere near those pizzas I remember.
Also, I worked in a Pizza Hut for a few months when I was living in Kansas in the mid-1980's. I was taught to put enough sauce on the pizza so it could be tasted. No one ever complained while I was working there that they couldn't taste the marinara sauce.
Bottom line: it's a sad commentary that the cinnamon mini-rolls tasted better than the pizza. I will not be ordering from Pizza Hut again. At the time I was ordering on the app, I don't recall even seeing an option where I could order extra sauce ON the pizza, like other pizza places have on their apps. Read moreThis pizza hut is the sole reason my family has sworn off of pizza hut for good. They have ripped us off too many times. We had a party where we had ordered almost ninety dollars worth of food. Every single items was wrong when delivered. Seriously, every single thing. When I tried to call, it puts you through some offsite ordering service. After half an hour and finally getting through to a "manager", he couldn't care less,saying, yeah so what, we're busy. Eventually he said he'd give a credit to my account. Not a refund, but the next time I order, he would credit off the phone number. A few weeks later, we do that same thing, thinking we have this credit. Did not receive the credit, and oh how surprising, almost the entire order was wrong again, at least not everything this time though. I call again, go through the same rerouting bull, and talk to a different "manager" he was at least friendly, and apologized, and said he would refund my card I used. NEVER saw the money, still to this day. These are a bunch of liars and cheats, and we will never get pizza hut again, not from this location, not from any location.

Read moreI ordered a large meat lovers and some boneless wings. The crust was super doughy, cheese wasn't melted, the pepperoni and hamburger meat wasn't cooked (looked like it just came out of a deli). My order was supposed to been delivered by 1202, it didn't get to me til 1230. When I received my order I started calling to inform them of my findings the phone just rang rang rang numerous times. Then someone finally answered and hung the phone up. So I called the 800 number after 20times of calling I finally got someone. The man informed me I was going getting a refund and a credit and a manager was going to be calling me. Fast forward Monday I haven't recieved a call,credit, and no refund. So I call customer service again the lady was nice, she ended up telling me it was nothing she could do on her end but she was able to get me a manager in the store. Gary the manager was kinda of dry on the phone with the agent. Well he called me a hour later I gave him my info. He had a attitude and really didn't want refund my entire amount. Seem like he was super short tempered and had a attitude. However I remained calm. Here it is tues and I still haven't gotten anything..... who am I supposed to speak to able this manner.
