I've had them before but the new location in Leander needs to train up employees. I was really excited to have a good sub house in Leander, but the service is poor. I get they are new, but if you have customers in line and the probably newer employee is having order issues, train the other employees to have awareness and go get a manager, especially if they are not making any orders and a second register exists.
Give this place 6 months or so to train staff to look at customer service processes
I actually just left without an order being placed... They were not busy... Just a couple in front of me... That sucks, I really was excited for a good service sub house near me and I think I'll keep going to Jersey Mike's even if it is in cedar park.
Update! Gave the new Leander shop a second try but did not want to go back in and deal with customer service. Ordered online for pickup. I selected no mayo on a small Italian. Somehow, and this should not be possible, the order came out as No Mayo, then Light Mayo and you guessed it it had extra mayo. Was disappointed after getting home. To be fair the full order was attached to the bag so I guess it's on me for not checking.
Avoid...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhen I first walked in I had a feeling it was going to be an unpleasant visit by the screeching cries of a most likely hungry baby that had been waiting way too long for their food. I ended up ordering anyway.
My receipt clearly states what I ordered.
20 mins later for a to go order (itās usually like 5 mins every time I have been to one), and it was truly not that busy there.
I finally get my sandwich to find out they gave me a wheat roll instead of a āgarlic white breadā as stated on my receipt. My bread wasnāt even toasted either.
As nice as the staff was, just yikes. As I watched the staff move like sloths during my entire wait time youād think with that type of āspeedā youād think they would have read the instructions.
Honestly really disappointed as this is not what I expect from firehouse and Iāve eaten at many of them.
Clearly the staff needs a āfireā under their butts, more attention to detail, and possibly a better understanding of how to read very clear...

So pumped to finally have a Firehouse Subs in Leanderāitās like my sandwich prayers were answered by spicy, dill-slinging angels in firefighter gear. I walked in and ordered the Spicy Dill Hook & Ladder, and let me tell you⦠my taste buds called 911, but only to say āTHANK YOU.ā
It was spicy enough to make me question my life choices for a second, but then I took another bite because apparently I enjoy living on the edge (of flavor and gastrointestinal stability). The dill? Divine. The heat? Just right. The sandwich? A masterpiece of melty, tangy, spicy goodness.
If you havenāt tried it, what are you doing with your life? Iād give it six stars if my mouth wasnāt too busy crying happy...
