Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Leander

Service: I’ve been to many Cold Stone locations, but this was by far the worst experience. After I paid for my order in full (so I thought- apparently it went thru for only a set amount, still unsure how that is possible), we left and were halfway home when the manager called me, claiming I hadn’t paid and demanding that I come back to the store to pay again or give my cc number over the phone. Not only was this incredibly unprofessional, but it was also embarrassing and completely unnecessary since I had already completed the transaction. How they got my phone # I still do not know but I am sure it is not there to call a paying customer and harass them. My husband said I was getting scammed so I just hung up. Once I was back at my house, the manager called AGAIN! There was no real apology—just a dismissive attitude as if I had done something wrong and ran out of the store with stolen ice cream. This kind of customer service is unacceptable. Mistakes happen, but accusing a paying customer and dragging them back or trying to get payment over the phone over your error is inexcusable. Came here today and as soon as I walked inside the store the atmosphere felt depressing. The employee working was a bit slow. When I go to cold stone I look forward to happy cheerful greeting nice smiling employees that look happy to be there. I came here opening day was greeted cheerfully had an extremely wonderful experience leading to today i walk into a depressing atmosphere a frowny employee going slow no greeting no nothing until it was my turn to order. 10/10 won't come back.
