I've been a regular customer since the shop opened and I really like the food. If you haven't been before, I highly recommend using Google to pick a time when it's not too busy. Order the lemon chicken, sesame shrimp, or Kung Pao beef. Then take a moment to talk to Brandon (the owner). He's working at the shop most days and he is a really nice guy that cares about his customers, his product, and his team. As you can see from some of the negative reviews, Brandon knows the team makes mistakes in a very small percentage of orders and he will address customer sat issues if you let him.
Now if you go during a busy time, you will have to wait. Sometimes 30 minutes to an hour. Customers like his recipies so much that the order volume exceeds the capacity of the kitchen. That sounds to me like a restaurant that's here to stay. People around here like the food, the service, and the price.
After your first visit, do this: look for a busy time, order online, wait 30 minutes or so and drive to the shop. Stand at the pickup counter and watch the hardest working restaurant team in the world do their thing. There's literally FIRE going everywhere back there. Huge roaring gas-fed flames! An assembly line of steam and sizzle, clean the wok and dry it, then burn it again! Just say, "Hi" to Brandon this time because he's busy. But seriously, go watch. I do it everytime I place a takeout order because it's fun.
I've tried just about everything on the menu. My favorites are:
Lemon Chicken (addictive) Combo Lo Mein Sesame Shrimp Mongolian Beef Moo Goo Gai Pan Sesame Chicken
The chicken wings appetizer is better than any other restaurant around. The chicken is fresh, pieces are huge, and they cut it in the shop instead of dumping it out of a bag.
The Won Ton soup is excellent. Definitely try that.
My all-time favorite appetizer is the mini egg rolls. I could eat a giant bag of those like buttered popcorn at a picture show.
Most of the dishes are microwave friendly and hold up well as a leftover meal or two. The exceptions are the egg drop soup and the sesame shrimp. Definitely eat these fresh.
Every restaurant has strengths and weaknesses. Delivery is not their strength. Phone orders are not their strength. They do it because they have to. That's the restaurant business for you. During slack time, eat in or order online and pick it up. During peak times, definitely order online and pick it up. They are awesome at that.
When you arrive for a takeout order, the team will review your order with you to make sure it's right. Out of 61 orders I placed, there were mistakes on 2 of them. Brandon fixed both of them. He called me personally on my cell phone right when I got home and said, "Jerry, I forgot your lemon sauce so I'm going to comp your appetizers". Wow. I was still sitting in my driveway with takeaway in the back seat. I've been eating out for decades and no restaurant owner has ever done that for me. I'm a fan just because of that.
Enjoy! Woks It 2 U is my favorite...
Read moreI wish I could give zero stars for the attitude of the owner and manager Chris.Their customer service is the worst I have experienced. With the arrogance the owner has its not going to be open for long. On Saturday night I ordered Mongolian chicken. When I picked up the guy who opened it and showed closed with in 1-2 seconds .So I din't have a good look.So I fasted all day on saturday and I look forward to my Saturday night carry out. I go home and open the food @8:55 pm It is Mongolian beef.So I called the restaurant spoke to the manager Chris .I texted him photos of the entree and he said it is mongolian beef.Chris never said sorry for ruining my dinner. He said they were closing and said I can get free dinner entree and I asked him how do I tell when I ask for the free entree. He said it would be in the system.
Come Tuesday I called to get my free entree and I was put thru so much scrutiny by Brandon the owner. He has the guts to tell me that when they opened the entree I should have looked properly and his staff did every thing right .They have the Mexican people cooking Chinese, who probably don't know how to read and you are blaming me for that? When I went to pick up Brandon the owner was standing there never even bothered to apologize.
I would have been a customer for life .They lost my business.Chris the manager failed to put in my account that I was owed a free dinner entree. So Brandon had to call Chris and confirm it and call me back .There was girl that was there when i called to complain on Saturday. She even told me I remember you called me .I am a physician I don't need to lie to get free entree. Me giving 1 star is for the customer service and the way they treated me despite their mistake . They never took ownership for reading the order wrong and making beef instead of chicken. I am never...
Read moreThe crab rangoons are literally gross- bland but salty any the same time. Every other restaurant offering crab Rangoon has had the balance of creamy sweet with just enough salt and crunch to really balance everything out. This was just straight up oversalted cream cheese in an under fried wrapper.
We also ordered steamed pork dumplings. The wrapper was way too thick, the contents had no flavor and the meat was white inside- they definitely use a lot of filler instead of meat because the texture was mushy like it was mostly bread crumbs or something. No flavor, no umami, the sauce included was terrible- and the thing is that it’s such an easy sauce to make! One part soy sauce, one part water, a splash of vinegar and a little sugar or honey, toss in toasted sesame seeds and diced green onion and that’s it! The entire dumpling dish and sauce are probably from Sysco or Costco and are just not good.
The sesame chicken was soggy and way too sweet- it had NO spice when I had specifically requested spicy! There were no sesame seeds or any sesame oil in the sesame chicken.
My European husband doesn’t trust my Korean palate after this. It’s just.. ugh, it’s just awful! Breading and corn syrup just dripping off the chicken, crab rangoon that was literally just limp wonton wrappers with salty generic cream cheese and dumplings that taste frozen and tasteless. 100% unhappy all around. I had...
