Hash browns had an odd kinda sweet taste and I have to wonder if those eggs of omelette were from a carton, you know like the kind McD's uses for both scrambled and on biscuit unless you order them fried? They were rather stiff and a very solid yellow as if no white of egg was in there. When I think of omelettes I think of light fluffy ones that taste nice and fresh. So overall I really wasn't very pleased with the food. The service as well left a tiny bit to be desired. To begin with as we were the only ones who happened to be in line the lady back behind things looked up at us and over to where another person was ringing someone out. She couldn't have see n the younger girl sweeping by the bathrooms but I just kinda wish even tho she may have been busy back there that she would have at least acknowledged us with a smile and maybe a quick nod, just would have felt inviting... The young lady sweeping saw us and said she would be right with us and she was and seated us promptly and got our drink order before walking away. Our caddy was out of sugar so we got some off another table after we got our drinks served and were asked but not yet ready to order and then realized we had none. When food arrived and she then brought refills we asked for sugar for our coffee and let her know the other table would now need a refill of sugar as well, she came back with a total of five little ole packs, lol. Oh well, she did try to plz my ole fussy self 🤔. Just wanna thank her cause she was a great server. As far as cleanliness, I would at just glancing say it appears to be safe and clean environment as well as a pretty peaceful one at the time of day of my visit. Not hectic or chaotic or servers running around like chickens with their heads cut off like at a few other establishments. Really enjoyed my time there with my son whom treated me to the visit. This is about all I can recall worth saying so have a very blessed day and run on up and get you some just maybe not the omelette unless you already know what to expect of ones they make there and maybe do a different tator than the one I chose? Have a great time! Take someone you love today, after all that's what makes any...
Read moreI grew up on Bob Evans. Heck, I've even been to the actual farm (on more than one occasion). I think that's what makes it difficult to say this, but I will no longer buy your products.
The decision I have made to no longer buy your products didn't come quickly. I've tried to give the company the benefit of doubt when the products didn't meet their usually high standards. Unfortunately, the number of occurrences can no longer be chalked up to a "bad day" and are indicative of a poor quality product.
We noticed a decline in the restaurants several years ago. The changes to the menu, service and management style were obviously rooted in the maximization of profits, not creating a better experience for your guests or working environment for your staff. A restaurant that was once a permanent fixture in our rotation has become a once or twice a year occurrence. That is typically enough to remind us why we stopped going.
Not going to the restaurants was a bit disappointing. However, we still purchased many of your products to enjoy at home. That is no longer the case.
It's appears the country style common sense, down home feel and desire to produce a quality product is no longer a priority for Bob Evans. It's become increasingly clear the commercialization of the brand is the priority and it has override the core principles on which the brand was founded.
Problems like these typically come from the top down. If there are any members of the original management staff still involved, I challenge you to take a hard look at the management style that has been employed and determine if this is the legacy you intended to leave behind. If it is, you are destroying the most most loyal of your customer base. The folks that have supported Bob Evans from...
Read moreSo incredibly disappointed in the service and attitude of the Managers here. I called the Sunday before Thanksgiving and placed an order for 2 pies. I was told I could pick them up at 3 PM today. I went in at 5 to a line of 30 people, all seemingly irritated. After 15 minutes, I was called to the register for assistance. I told them I was there to pick up my order and gave them my name. They found my order in the computer and I paid the bill. I then proceeded to stand there for an additional 10 minutes while the woman waiting on me argued with someone on the phone. When she finally hung up she asked me what I needed and I said that I'd already paid her and I was just waiting on my pies. She shuffled around for another 5 minutes and came back and said that she was sorry but they were out of pies. I explained that I placed the order 3 days ago and they should have been reserved and asked why they were given to someone else. She walked away and came back with the Manager, who was appallingly rude. She said, "What do you need?" I explained the situation and she said, "I don't know what you want me to do. I can't simply produce a pie." I responded that she shouldn't have to because it should have been set aside, per my order from 3 days ago. She proceeded to tell that is not how it works and then actually got angry when I asked for my money back.
This location has gotten progressively worse over the last 15 months or so. The past 4 times my family and I have either tried to eat here or order carryout, it has been a nightmare. I believe I have finally learned my lesson, though. We won't be back and we won't...
