Greenhouse Cafe + Bar — Restaurant in Lebanon

This is one of those places that make you feel like you've hit the jackpot.

So I literally found this place on a humble. But it definitely won't be the last time I visit here. So firstly, I couldn't tell where it was. Google Maps didn't place the Cafe around the corner. There were no customers in there at the time (2pm/Wed). So the young lady Courtney greeted us when we came in and let us know to take a menu and sit anywhere we wanted and once we decided what we wanted to eat to come to the counter and place our order.

She was one of the sweetest and kindest individuals I've met in a while. Very patient, knowledgeable and accommodating. Any special requests she happily filled and all of her suggestions were on point.

*Now, to the FOOD! OMG 🤤. I expected "OK" food. Especially with it being a lot of vegan, vegetarian options and healthly plant based. But what I got was phenomenal food. I got enough so that I could eat the next day 😂. I could eat that LOADED POTATO BOWL. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. lol. The CHICKEN APPLE BRIE was delicious. And the Buffalo Tempeh was great as well. Cannot wait to go back and try some more items. As a person who has trouble deciding, I love that there aren't an overwhelming amount of options. But the options they do have are spot on. Seasonal & Locally sourced menu is a huge plus as well due to the menu being smaller 💛

We took our son and daughter in law to this cafe today for lunch. It was not busy. We placed our orders and waited about 20 minutes. Everyone received their food except me. In the meantime, the order for the chicken wings were awful tasting. I ordered and paid for a Ruben sandwich for my husband in place of the wings. I mentioned how bad the wings were to the blonde girl with no response from her at all. I then inquired about my chicken salad sandwich. The blonde girl replied abruptly that I hadn't ordered it. I, of course, disputed this and told her I absolutely had. My husband's sandwich came. I told the girl it was too late to order the chicken salad as everyone was finishing their meals. No apology, nothing! Our daughter in law went to the counter with the " chicken wings" to ask for a refund because they really were not edible. The lady with the dark hair did not agree. In otherwords, no you may not have a refund. At that time I said let's cut our losses and left. When we were ready to leave, the dark haired lady offered us a chicken sandwich. I declined because I didn't want us to wait again. Had she offered it while we were seated, I would have happily accepted it. Overall this entire lunch experience was very stressful and the "I really don't care" attitude didn't help. The good thing is we aren't going back. My husband and I were passing through Lebanon yesterday and we googled restaurants in Lebanon for a quick lunch. We stopped at the Greenhouse Cafe and ordered from curbside. To our surprise, the chicken salad was unique and PACKED with so much flavor, with just a hint of lemon and delicious mayo to add to the deliciousness. The lentil soup was out of this world, and I'm trying to dupicate it at home this evening! We asked for gluten-free bread and we've tried zillions of GF breads before, but the GF bread they served was by far the best tasting we've ever had!!! The curbside server was very friendly and made our day with her welcoming and warm personality! I'm pretty particular about food tasting as if someone put a lot of thought into what they've created and am always on the hunt for good tasting food! The Greenhouse Cafe delivered in all areas! Definitely a 5-STAR luncheon experience. I look forward to our next trip from WV to the Cincy area! We will most defiintely head to the Greenhouse Cafe when we visit our children and grands and be sure to bring our whole gang with us! !
