Lets start with the good. Our waiter was very nice and apologetic to a fault for things that he could not control also the mens room was very clean. That's IT.
Now for the BAD. The food was HORRIBLE. I do not say that lightly. My wife and I as well as my adult soon all have worked in the past in the food service industry so we have some insight into how bad things can go sometimes but what we were served could have been a frozen dinner for all we could tell. I had pulled pork and sliced brisket both were dry, tasteless and overcooked. My wife had the sliced brisket parts were so overcooked they appeared burnt and the rest had cheese on the UNDERSIDE? It appeared as if they had reserved another plate rather than toss it. My son had ribs and steak. The ribs were supposed to be a dry rub but they too seemed old and dry and also had a reheated type look . The steak was actually RAW. He did order medium rare but that was a far cry from what he got. Since he is diabetic we decided to have his sent back but before we could ask our waiter spotted the raw meat from another table he was waiting on, that's how raw it was.
We asked to speak to a manger and the young lady who claimed to be a manager was indifferent to our problems and actually made us feel like it was US that was in the wrong. She pulled our plates and took just my son's steak. We knew what was coming next. Instead of a new steak they threw his on something and OVERCOOKED it to near well done, NICE. After one bit he declared it inedible and offered me a bit. It was so tough and tasteless we decided to cut our losses and leave.
For the final insult we were presented with a BILL with only my wife and my meals taken off ! Comping meals is part of doing business, there is even a line item for it, but apparently this manager really did think we were wrong. Rather than make a scene , which would have solved nothing, we paid and left
We moved into Lebanon just over a year ago and don't go out much because money is tight. My wife decided were we would go that night and felt it was her fault because we had looked at all the reviews but decided we would still go and spend some tax return money. We felt robbed.
I own a very nice smoker and have smoked a lot of different meats and other items over the last few years. Not only would I claim that these items were not smoked I would go as far as to say they do not even have a smoker on site and all of these items are cooked off site and trucked in. That is the only explanation we could come up with for the poor quality and horrible tasteless food. That is just my opinion I could be wrong.
If you want a good smoked food experience there are a number of places in Indianapolis that are worth the drive. Don't waste...

Arrived with a group of my family just as they opened the doors for The day aSaturday, tried order ribs and was told they are out of ribs.
I asked how can a bbq rib place be out of ribs already, you just opened the doors? “We got busy last night, they are still smoking you just ordered the last half rack” was the reply, I asked if we could order a whole rack and split it and was again told no.
I tried to order the sweet potato casserole and was again told “sold out” same excuse. Ordered an appetizer and what we received (fried onions) was the smallest over priced order I’ve ever seen. Waited between 20 and 30 minutes for our meal and when we asked about our food was told it was being trayed up and will be right out, more than 5 minutes later it finally arrived. I ordered my steak cooked medium and half rack of ribs, my steak was well done and dried out and the half rack was the smallest I’ve ever encountered, with 4-5 tiny bones & portion size was the size of a credit card. I had eaten my ribs and side order before the waitress finally came and asked how things where I had my steak re-cooked. Another member of our groups streak was also overcooked plus the brisket was DRY, no smoke ring, it looked like pieces of grey cardboard. My wife’s nachos barely had any meat on them. My re-cooked steak I ordered medium was medium well and had a lot of fat and gristle I left on the plate. The restaurant was not busy, had ample wait staff, but it took 3 trips to our table to get 3 cups of coffee initially. No offers made for a discount due to bad food.wont be back, AVOID!
I find it interesting that the owner on replies to the...
Read more6/15/24- I told Morgan I do Google reviews. I say this when I’m in a small town, because I feel they always have a catch. We asked Morgan if they had any special’s and she said, “Appetizers are half off.” That’s how she said it. I ordered sausage w/mustard and my wife ordered mozzarella sticks. It’s a nice place but further into town. You’ll be going out of your way if this is a quick stop for you like it was for us. A robot brings out your food and it’s cute. You get your food with a six pack of bbq sauce to enjoy your meal. I ordered the two meat entree (pulled pork and brisket which was a small portion and a bit dry). My wife ordered the large chili. I enjoyed my meal and the sausage as an appetizer is a good combo. My wife said the chili was too sweet but didn’t mind. All was fine until Morgan brought our check and she charged full price for the appetizers. Morgan said she was sorry but we had to buy two entrees for the half off deal. My wife said if we’d get the discount for one since she did not tell us. Long story short we put our cash down and left. I felt Morgan knew what she did and how the special works. We’re from out of town so we got the small town rip you off and don’t care if you return. Morgan made no effort to make it right. She acted put out. My worked in the food industry and tips on the full price and always pays cash. Now you know how this place treats out of town guests. We passed up a place closer for this. We travel to Indy a lot are trying to find a place to stop and eat on our way to Lafayette. I guess I’ll stick to fast food...
