My wife and I had 1 of the worst dinning experiences here last night. When we decided to eat at cedars "steakhouse" , we tried looking at the electronic menu they have out side the front of the restaurant, but it cycled through so many different slides that it took almost 5 minutes be4 the main menu would come up.but we figured it was a steakhouse in a decent casino how bad could it possibly be. As we approached the person taking people's names, him and another gentleman were bickering with each other and calling each other idiot's and things like that which should have been the sign to leave..The restaurant was obviously busy and I was surprised when the guy told me it was only going to be a 30 minute wait. Needless to say 30 minutes turned into a bit over an hour. I had to finally go up to them and ask them how much longer the wait was going to be. He then asked for my name and saw how I was skipped and then he frantically tried to come up with excuses and told me that they were getting everything ready and just putting silverware on our table and we would be seated immediately. Almost 15 minutes later we were finally seated... Upon looking at the menu we were really disappointed at the extremely limited menus. Now I completely understand that this "steakhouse" is in a casino so prices are blown up astronomically but this prices were a tad ridiculous.. scanning over the menus there was less then a handful of steaks to choose from, 1 of which was a bone in rib eye. It was $55 for the steak and another $10 if you wanted sides of any of there sub par sides. Not only was I annoyed that the menu was lacking in just about everything, but when I saw the $65 for a rib eye steak i thought it was blown away.. People next to us just got there meals which consisted of a seafood tower and the rid eye steak. The stake looked extreamly small. I'd have to say 10 Oz max. Also upon look at the seafood tower the about of sea food they give is NOT worth $100. Neadless to say those people sitting next to us started complaining about the steaks and how badly they were prepared and how small they were, they legitimately looked like steaks you could get at outback. My wife and decided not to go with the steak after witnessing the table next to us so we order 2 chicken sandwiches which consisted of 2 peices of chicken breast on Italian bread with roasted red pepper, bacon, and a cheese fandu. We also orders 12 oysters from the raw bar. Oyster weren't bad. The amount of time it took for our sandwiches to come was another hour. The chicken in the sandwich was actually really good, not sure if it was $22 good but.. the bacon was good to however there was so much cheese fandu on the sandwich that it made it unbeatable. We had to open the sandwich and use a knife and fork. On top of the the fandu was nauseating after awhile. Bottom line this place should not be referred to as a steakhouse.and for the $ the food and service should have been about a million X better.i have received better service and food from places like Texas roadhouse, a food chain the had an amazing 20 Oz rib eye for half why this place has. Dont go here literally go anywhere else bit here. Waisted 2 and a half hours waiting for bad over priced food. Sry...
Read moreI was there with a party of 8 on 10-3. I actually spent the night because it was my boyfriend and I’s birthday. We went to cedars. We waited an hour to get seated. It took over an hour to get our food. We all saw my boyfriends lobster sit under the warmer for well over 30+ minutes before being served to him. ALL personal of our parties food was messed up. I ordered my steak medium rare, it was raw, literally raw and purple. I ended up being sick all night into the morning because of it because my stomach couldn’t handle it. My boyfriends lobster was beyond dry. Everyone else’s steak was either well over cooked/burnt or undercooked. When we said something to the waitress, and she said “I’m not the cook so I don’t know what to tell you.” And she blamed everything on COVID and how they are well understaffed because of it and how Foxwoods won’t bring any of the employees they need back. They turned our $600 bill into $120. That’s fine, it’s just the fact it was my birthday and I spent money on two rooms $500+ and myself and one other person in the other room got sick from the food. UPDATE: 10.16.2020- I am never coming back to either Foxwoods or Cedars even if it was my last resort. I got a phone call from the Foxwoods health inspector for more information. I gave her the whole breakdown, and her response was "you should go get tested for COVID because what you are telling me are symptoms of COVID." I had symptoms of FOOD POSIONING. I got test obviously and it came back negative. I was told that someone would follow up with me and no one did, so I followed up with them. Foxwoods pretty much told me they can't do anything because when they went to the restaurant and took temps and looked at all their food, everything was in spec. They also said they couldn't do anything because the restaurant reduced the bill from $600 to $100. For one, with the service with the server and how undercooked/over cooked that all of our meals were, we shouldn't even had to pay a dollar, but we gave them no issues and still gave them a tip. Neverminded before I went to the restaurant, I spent a good amount of money at other stores and elsewhere within Foxwoods. Foxwoods brings millions upon millions of dollars in profit a year, and they can't even refund a nights worth of hotel, or a credit or anything because I was hunched over all night in the bathroom into the next morning. So thank you CEDARS and FOXWOODS for ruining a weekend I planned for over a month for my boyfriends and I's birthday. I will make sure that I will never give Foxwoods a penny of my money and I will make sure everyone I know who goes to Foxwoods on a weekly basis knows this happens so they are aware and don't go back. Very poor...
Read moreWe went there because my boyfriend wanted to try it. we made a reservation and when we got to the door My boyfriend greated the men and female at the front entrance neither one answered him. The female looked mad like she didn't wanted to be there. We gave the name to the man (Ben) he told the lady where to take us. All the way to the back, she never said a word to us not even looked at us, put the wine menu on the table and just walked away. At that point we were debating wherever to stay or go to any place more pleasant, but we decided to stay. (maybe we had gotten there at the wrong moment) The waiter came gave us the menu, again there was not much said other than do u want a drink now or want to wait a few. We order drinks and he was back quite fast. We told him what we wanted for dinner and he left. Finally some other guy. came to bring bread and butter, he was smiling and pleasant. Around 10 to 15 minutes later the waiter came with our food, that was nice because it was fast. The filet mignon was burned on the outside and bloody inside, I had said med well, a bit pink not bloody. the same with my boyfriends but he ate it like that. unfortunately I can't it raw meat. I waited for the waiter to come back and show him the steak he was very nice and apologized took it away. like 5 to 10 min later he comes back with the same steak then over cooked, at that point it was almost 8pm and i just wanted to eat. We go to all different steak houses and I had never had a steak so bad before, the mashed potatoes were delicious and the drinks, other than that I would said we will definitely will NOT be coming back. I cook at home filet mignon and I do better than the cook at an expensive steak house. At the end of our date we had only ordered onewhite sangria and Black label on the rocks with meals and the meals. For the not good food and drink the whole experience was over priced. We paid and left. I will not recommend this place more for the treatment than...
