My wife and I arrived at the Scorpion in Foxwoods Casino on August 2nd, 2025 between 6:45pm-6:50pm, and were seated by 7pm in the booth section . Upon being seated we realized that servers were walking around pouring water for guests and we had not received any water. When our waiter came over she asked if we wanted any drinks and food, so we ordered the following at around 7:10pm.
1 order of tostones 1 order of street corn 1 rice bowl w/steak 1 quinoa bowl w/steak 1 braised beef taco
We also ordered two drinks with our server, and they were brought out promptly, and after I finished my drink our server came over to ask me if I wanted another drink (shout out to her). After our server brought us drinks, a Caucasian family of six came in and ordered both appetizers and entrees. At 7:36pm we noticed our food had not come out yet and saw the party of 6 and other parties being served their entrees before us. At this point we did not receive one food item. Our waiter came over and stated that she checked in with the kitchen and the food will be coming out shortly.
At 7:40 our waitress came back over and explained how the kitchen staff was still working on our order and that our appetizers of street corn and Tostones should be about another couple of minutes.
At 7:45pm we were frustrated because we did not receive one food item, and felt discriminated against. When the server came back and stated the kitchen was willing to pay for our appetizers we disagreed and denied any further service. We stated that the kitchen can pay for the drinks and they agreed so we left the restaurant. We expressed our frustrations to the server and although we appreciate her support in the matter our overall experience with the restaurant was terrible.
As someone who services people on a day to day basis I understand “things” happen which may cause delays but, this wasn't the exception. We sat for more than 40 minutes without any food, and watched multiple parties arrive after us, eating both their appetizers & entrees. Although our server supported us through this time once again to shout out to her, we are disgusted with the service at the restaurant as a whole.
We were looking forward to eating at Scorpion in Foxwoods because we had been celebrating our one year wedding anniversary but, this experience felt like a punch to the gut. We do travel to foxwoods casino often and will not be returning to the...
Read moreTerrible service. My husband and I were staying at Foxwoods tower for our anniversary weekend. I am blind in one eye and almost blind in my other eye. We attempted to go to this scorpion bar as our third bar for the night, having only had one drink at each bar and therefore very sober. I was not using my cane at this bar as I had left it in the hotel room because I was walking with my husband and I thought it would be easier to walk without my cane. We paid a $10 cover charge each, so $20 total and upon walking up to the bar when I was asking my husband to read the menu the bartender refused me service because he believed I was intoxicated because I needed my husband to read to me and I could not make eye Contact. We attempted to speak to the host and manager named Tom DelSanto upon exiting who seemed extremely unsympathetic and to make matters worse, because I did not have my cane I walked into some of the security barriers. We did receive our cover charge back however our anniversary weekend was tainted by poor service and unsympathetic staff and we certainly will not be frequenting this bar if we return to Foxwoods or the Seaport in Boston where we are from. Unfortunately there's pretty huge damper on our weekend and celebration of our anniversary. We will not be recommending this venue or chain of restaurants to any of our friends or family or colleagues at work. We experienced excellent service at every other venue within Foxwoods resort and casino except for scorpion bar and we will not make the mistake of attempting to enter this venue again. Zero out of 10 stars or zero out of five stars simply due to accessibility and disability discrimination. This is unacceptable And the staff and restaurant chain did not deserve any of our hard earned money considering we were treated like drunken teenagers rather than grown adults with a...

I had fond memories of this restaurant from past visits, so I was looking forward to bringing friends here for dinner. Unfortunately, our recent experience fell short in several ways.
From the start, service was unusually slow. We waited over an hour for our food, checking twice — first with our waitress, who assured us it was “coming,” and then with the manager, who mentioned that groups had arrived at once, making it hard on the waitress, and that he would “go put the order in now.” This made us suspect our order may not have been entered initially. By the time the food arrived, I was ready to leave. For this wait, the manager offered a 10% discount. Still not worth it as the food wasn’t tasty.
My entrée, the Scorpion Classic Taco Dinner (three soft tacos, red rice, and black beans, LISTED at $16), was underwhelming. The tacos, rice, and beans were all bland, with the tacos and rice arriving cold. The chicken in the tacos tasted like pre-cooked meat that had been defrosted — cubed, watery, and lacking seasoning.
I was surprised to find a $6 upcharge for chicken, which wasn’t clearly indicated on the menu. The waitress explained that the base tacos would otherwise be “just lettuce and tomato,” which makes the $16 menu price confusing.
While my friends didn’t detail their own complaints, they also said their food wasn’t good. It felt like a combination of issues — a likely forgotten order, food that seemed pre-prepared rather than fresh, an unclear menu, and an overwhelmed staff. I had chosen this restaurant based on how much I’d enjoyed it in the past, but sadly, this visit has changed my mind. I won’t be returning, and I hope management can address these service, communication, and quality concerns so future guests have a...
